[00:03:44] But in the manga, this is part of chapter one thirty one.

[00:03:48] All of chapter one thirty two and one thirty three.

[00:03:56] So I'm going to read it now.

[00:03:58] So I'm going to lead us through a synopsis.

[00:04:25] So the episode starts with Nezure Ocho and Sue on their work studies with re you cue,

[00:04:31] um, who is the dragon lady she's super cool and super hot.

[00:04:35] Um, and these three successfully take down two giant quote unquote villains.

[00:04:42] Basically, they're just some dudes who got really big and then decided to have a fist fight on a crowded street.

[00:04:48] I don't know.

[00:04:49] They're probably just drunk or something.

[00:04:51] Um, so anyway, they take care of that liquidy split and re you cue compliments them says they're doing so well.

[00:04:58] They might be allowed to join a certain investigation.

[00:05:03] Also, we skipped right over a Nezure's quirk introduction like president Mike full on missed his cue and everything he gets several demarrants.

[00:05:14] Um, he also didn't say anything about re you cues.

[00:05:18] He just he just needs to go straight to adults detention with he gets no honor roll.

[00:05:24] And I don't know why I've decided to put president Mike in adult high school and then the punishment parts of adult high school.

[00:05:32] My brain was just swimming in my grain juices.

[00:05:36] I'm fine.

[00:05:37] You're just stuck in the chaos swamp.

[00:05:39] Yep, it's I'm never emerging.

[00:05:42] Um, also I tried really hard to see if I could like recognize the two quote unquote villains having their little tiff.

[00:05:52] Um, but aside from like maybe some attack on Titan and or Godzilla influences.

[00:05:59] I didn't see anything too familiar.

[00:06:01] I miss when Superman and Batman were in the crowds at the sports festival.

[00:06:06] It was a lot funer than.

[00:06:09] Uh, yes for you.

[00:06:11] Jack and lady for the win.

[00:06:13] I'm so happy she's finally on screen.

[00:06:17] Also, I think the villains just had too many shocked sake shots.

[00:06:21] Like these are not villains.

[00:06:23] These are just some idiots who can get big.

[00:06:35] Anyway, so we cut to the Shia his sci-fi compound and shiggy has arrived for take two of their little discussion because the first time went so well.

[00:06:48] I think it was a great.

[00:06:50] It went super great.

[00:06:52] Um, so shiggy pulls out the bullet that compress was shot with and he reveals that he knows what the bullet does and he knows it's part of their mysterious plan.

[00:07:01] Yes, but more importantly, we need to talk about what the fuck position shiggy was sitting in like sir, what is happening with your legs?

[00:07:10] I'm not sure if you're a divergent seating if I've ever seen one.

[00:07:15] And I have probably stat like that.

[00:07:18] Stay positioned multiple times in my life.

[00:07:21] Well, you've been registered to me as weird.

[00:07:24] Well, maybe that's an awful way to sit.

[00:07:27] Maybe maybe weird is not the right word.

[00:07:29] Maybe I'm just salting because I'm so short.

[00:07:32] I can't get my legs into that position and just register as what is happening.

[00:07:38] And then I'm like, hey, you're a little bit more.

[00:07:42] I've been working on my legs for so long and I've been working on my legs for a long long, long limbs.

[00:08:06] Anyway, so we cut to Tomaki and my perfect boy, Kira Shima patrolling with fat gun who is the love of my life light of my heart sexiest man of every of everywhere.

[00:08:22] Just sexiest man and top of my husband rankings.

[00:08:26] He seems just as timid on patrol as he was in school.

[00:08:30] He's just a shy little lad and we learned that Kira Shima basically begged him to get him a work study with fat gum and he basically just wore him down until he agreed.

[00:08:41] Yes, yes.

[00:08:42] Good job Kira Shima.

[00:08:44] Also, a fat gum.

[00:08:46] My love.

[00:08:47] He's so encouraging.

[00:08:48] He really is.

[00:08:49] He's so funny.

[00:08:50] He's like kind of mildly insulting but he's like he's given it to you straight and he's also like trying to pump you up.

[00:08:57] It's it's hilarious.

[00:08:59] He's he's being a motivational troll is what he's being.

[00:09:03] He is.

[00:09:04] Yes.

[00:09:05] Yep.

[00:09:06] Fat gum.

[00:09:07] They really out here introducing all our favorite lives and husbands this episode.

[00:09:12] I'm sorry.

[00:09:13] My boy.

[00:09:14] Did you really have to torment or Tomaki?

[00:09:17] Yes, yes, he did.

[00:09:19] Poor poor Tomaki but so they are on patrol and then suddenly a group of thieves appear and most of them are captured by fat gum and Tomaki.

[00:09:30] Who despite his shyness is fully able to throw down when he needs to.

[00:09:36] This work is amazing.

[00:09:37] Yes, we learn about both their quirks on the very cool and people on the street applaud sweet Tomaki gets embarrassed and tries to hide.

[00:09:47] But then one of the thieves is still in the crowd and they fire a shot at Tomaki.

[00:09:52] They're just looking pulling that out.

[00:09:54] Basically.

[00:09:55] Also right before that there is one of them like slips out of fat gum's capture hug.

[00:10:03] And that gum makes a comment that it look that he says.

[00:10:06] It looks like he's got the same cork as edge.

[00:10:09] It's a comb edge shot and he calls an edge and now it is canon that fat gum and edge shot.

[00:10:15] They're best friends.

[00:10:16] You can't fight it.

[00:10:17] It's the truth.

[00:10:18] Yeah, fat gum had to keep going to the on like the sewing club or whatever we call it because it is like custom clothes.

[00:10:26] Yes.

[00:10:27] And then the shots.

[00:10:28] Yeah, that is an Easter egg for way down the road and also not spoilery.

[00:10:34] Not really.

[00:10:35] But yes, yes, yes he did that is now also part of the canon.

[00:10:39] Also, the music is perfection too.

[00:10:41] And then the shots.

[00:10:42] Yep, yep, yeah.

[00:10:43] That has to be followed by gunshots.

[00:10:46] Yeah.

[00:10:47] And I thought in this moment after reading, um,

[00:10:50] Rea's comment about suck A shots.

[00:10:52] I saw shots in all caps and I just heard the song shot, shot, shot, shot, shot, shot.

[00:10:57] Shot shot.

[00:10:58] We're fine here in America.

[00:11:02] We are perfectly, psychologically found.

[00:11:06] We've got shots and we've got shots.

[00:11:08] Yay.

[00:11:09] So then we do a quick cut to overhaul who reveals that he wants to use.

[00:11:16] His quirk cancelling bullets to basically become the next all for one because evil is boring and repetitive.

[00:11:24] Um, he just wants to rain over the world by deciding who gets to have a quirk and who doesn't.

[00:11:29] Yep, you're boring and also a little bitch.

[00:11:32] Mm hmm.

[00:11:33] Mm hmm.

[00:11:34] Then we cut back to our perfect special boys and Kira Shima leaps in front of Tomahki and he gets shot at two.

[00:11:41] But he's in his hardened state to the bullet just bounces off and the shooters like fuck.

[00:11:47] So he runs off Kira Shima chases after him and then Tomahki realizes his quirk doesn't work.

[00:11:53] And Kira Shima chases the shooter into an alley and the shooter's quirk allows him to produce like short blades from his body.

[00:12:02] And so he tries to use those to fight, obviously Kira Shima is a rock.

[00:12:06] He is immune.

[00:12:07] Rock beats scissors.

[00:12:09] And he gets close enough to knock the guy down.

[00:12:12] He's a good sweet boy though.

[00:12:14] So when he thinks the fight is over, he goes to help the shooter stand up.

[00:12:19] But then the guy injects himself with a quirk enhancing drug instead of a cancelling one.

[00:12:24] And then suddenly he can produce super long blades that are sharp enough to cut through Kira Shima's hardening.

[00:12:31] And then he's like, I'm just gonna go back to him.

[00:12:33] Yes, and I just thought I'm an Easter egg so I'm adding it to the appropriate section and I'm scrolling back up.

[00:12:41] Okay, it is hilarious that Kira Shima's like ultimate move or one of his named moves because shonen.

[00:12:50] It's called red counter when it's literally just him punching a guy in the face.

[00:12:56] Well, he has to name something because he only has one superpower move which is getting hard.

[00:13:04] I feel like he got it from present Mike who also hasn't moved that's just that's called DJ punch.

[00:13:10] It's also just in punching a guy in the face will get you it.

[00:13:16] But also in this moment like in this little conversation.

[00:13:20] Kira Shima's sassiness is on full display.

[00:13:24] And I love it that he's being sassy right next to also somehow being concerned about like all of the people in that situation, both the villain who's being

[00:13:37] think a little wimpy and also this villains.

[00:13:40] Yeah, like it comes across as genuine.

[00:13:42] Yes, like he's having an interaction with another human being and he acts like it.

[00:13:48] And then of course, very importantly, of course the whiny wimpy little shooter guy he's he's obsessed with the like of his blades.

[00:13:59] Like sorry figure isn't always better just saying.

[00:14:04] So, generally, sorry, alright.

[00:14:07] Also in this moment there's a little like quick cut back to Tomaki and the villain calls him chicken foot.

[00:14:16] And Tomaki he just immediately shuts down he's like no I'm out I'm gone.

[00:14:22] Like oh, Tomaki my sweet little emo baby child please get some anti-insighting medication or something you'll need it.

[00:14:31] Oh, real.

[00:14:33] What if when he takes pills he like gets the ability to like make little pill case things on his hands and he like punches people with pills I need that.

[00:14:42] Or cause she dropped that.

[00:14:45] Oh my god this is so much better than what was written on the sub he was just called gum.

[00:14:51] Yeah, yeah it's also a thing in the manga too but like chicken foot it's right there it's perfect.

[00:14:57] Tomaki is never getting over it.

[00:15:00] Tomaki's like god damn it ultimate burn I can never show my face again.

[00:15:05] Alright so then we got a little bit of a flashback to Kira Shima's insecurities about his quirk not being flashy or versatile.

[00:15:15] So he struggles to keep up with it to keep up with his peers and he worries that he's not going to be an effective hero hero.

[00:15:24] However, he gets a bit of a pep talk from Katsuki who's like fuck your insecurities not giving up is what makes you strong gavel smash.

[00:15:34] Oh, that's key you're you're doing so good and also you're so bad at everything.

[00:15:42] That's such a Katsuki way to gas someone up it's so funny.

[00:15:48] So we cut back to the fight and more blades rush towards Kira Shima is just like a fucking column of blades but he's able to activate his new ultimate move unbreakable which the blades can't pierce.

[00:16:02] So he gets the guy to focus all of his blades at him just in case there are any like bystanders around and then he just kind of like bulldozes through them so he can get close enough to punch the guy and bring him down again.

[00:16:16] So the quirk enhancing drug appears to wear off and the shooter goes back to crying and Kira Shima almost falls for it again.

[00:16:24] I just got my poor sweet child.

[00:16:27] But thankfully that gum catches up and when the guy tries to escape he's just like nope and he's just going sim into his tummy fat.

[00:16:37] Also again when Kira Shima punches the guy he's named punch red gauntlet or at least what it sounded like and again my poor sweet dumb boy it's okay to just punch people you got your flashy unbreakable all already there we're good.

[00:16:54] But also I have to comment that at some point he is running while he's in his unbreakable form and his dumb little feet.

[00:17:05] It's so funny like it's it's his big shining moment but he's just all teeth know thoughts it's your action.

[00:17:15] Yeah that's that's Kira Shima all teeth know thoughts.

[00:17:20] Also while the drug is like working for the mighty little baby boy he is also seems to be experiencing some kind of high or some kind of endorphin rush or something and I need details core cozy and or Maria but what why.

[00:17:40] So this is part one of my science corner.

[00:17:46] Science corner prologue real basement.

[00:17:51] So the science corner is will be dedicated to Tomah keep and also fat gum so when I read this note with before the fat come introduction which will come.

[00:18:02] But basically the drugs seems to stimulate adrenaline and or cortisol so adrenaline will increase blood pressure and hard activity providing more energy and cortisol increases glucose in the blood system allowing for increased repair and function of the body.

[00:18:20] So there is probably also some sort of stimulant in it too so all of these things combined put the body in a lot of stress mode allowing for quirks to be stronger and more potent.

[00:18:34] This is why like a lot of people can do a lot of things under high amounts of stress you know how moms can pick up cars to save their kid or whatever.

[00:18:43] And up like ripping all their back muscles in the process but they don't notice exactly so now it needs to be noted the high stress for long periods of time can event will eventually lead the body to deteriorate happens to be a few times any who.

[00:19:02] So while the body is stronger it cannot be for a long time and eventually it will run out are you okay Nicole was that a silly sorry I just need.

[00:19:12] I was trying to hold a bar just need.

[00:19:22] That makes sense especially with what we learn about works later so yeah for sure thank you all.

[00:19:28] All right so getting back into the episode despite Kira Shima's fears about not being a very effective hero the crowd who saw him deal with this guy is like super fucking impressed with him.

[00:19:41] And this causes him to have another flashback but we will get more information on that a little later in the series so we're not going to dig into that quite yet also back gum is extremely concerned about the court cancelling bullets and hmm I wonder what that will lead to.

[00:19:59] It's a mystery.

[00:20:04] And then we get the credits and then we get an after credit scene at you way the next day so Ocho su and Kira Shima all made the news because of their awesome heroing and everyone is in a really good mood except for Izuku and he's doing better than he was last episode but I mean he's still worried about area I mean how could you not be.

[00:20:28] Yeah he's he still has big emo feelings is for for a little bean yeah he's got a handle on him but they're still there.

[00:20:37] Yeah part of it just needs to get his hands on some good old emo music it helped act where yeah seriously just borrow one of Katsuki CDs or Toka Yamis honestly yeah go to Toka Yamis he's got you covered.

[00:20:54] Alright a few things of note in this episode first of all I love that Nezure can't stop being nosy even in the middle of the fight I love her so much like while those two giant guys were fighting she's like why are they fighting what happened and I'm like same girl same.

[00:21:14] She loves some good old gossip.

[00:21:19] Also Ocho and Sue have a joint super move which I think this is our first time being introduced to that concept so far and it is a very cool concept I love it a lot but also it's zero surprise that it was these two who decided to team up and create a new move that like involves the both of them.

[00:21:40] Yeah they're killing it they're amazing yep yep there be a thefts of course they're going to make super moves very intelligent and practical bf's also before I learned how close myro and tomaki are I was like totally ready to ship kira shimo with tomaki like I was basically already there and Nicole was like wait hold your horses.

[00:22:04] I don't know what it is about my little boy, but he's just he is the perfect pairing for an emo because like he's a little emo you know he's still got a little bit of little bit of emo sprinkled in that sunshine it just it makes him the perfect pairing for like an outward emo.

[00:22:21] But anyway that is exactly what inspired me to ship him with toadroki.

[00:22:27] Yes, yes kira shima and tomaki are definitely eat chipable if tomaki was not already in a committed relationship.

[00:22:38] Yes yes also show toe is kind of like the opposite of kira shima where there's like bits of sunshine golden retriever sprinkled in among all the angst.

[00:22:51] Yeah anyway this is just me saying my ship is great I won't hear any nacing.

[00:22:58] Yeah he is peak lab or door energy sad boy vibes all the way.

[00:23:05] Absolutely and then so when tomaki gets shot we do see that his quirk still works a tiny bit after he was shot so I think there is some sort of timing factor at play.

[00:23:20] We're like it needs to be a certain amount of time to work through your bloodstream and then it activates more or less quickly depending on where you're shot.

[00:23:28] And again I still haven't gone back to that episode to see where compress was shot.

[00:23:32] Yeah yeah I also have not looked but like considering how compress like reacted and also how it worked on redacted before the redacted shop yeah there's definitely some sort of bloodstream timing at work.

[00:23:48] Yeah for sure and then when kira shima is fighting his mask gets broken off and then at the end of the fight there's like this one little scene where his hair is all messy and you can see his full space and he's kind of scuffed up and he just looks like the tiniest little baby kitten I don't know and I just.

[00:24:08] I just wanted to give him a sandwich and a blanket and then telling to go take a nap.

[00:24:12] He just he activated all of my cute aggression in this episode you just a little baby.

[00:24:18] He's just a baby he gets all the snuggles and all the blankies.

[00:24:22] Yep another boy who needs a nap and a squish mellow floor yes oh my god specifically squish mellow yes yes oh my god imagine just class one A and their squish mollows.

[00:24:36] And like the trades that happen and the collecting and how feral they get about it and like all of the absurd fights they have about it yes oh my god.

[00:24:46] And then my last point is when we get the flashback to you a consta key just gets super upset anytime someone mentions their work study because he isn't allowed to be in one yet and his unrelenting jealousy is just utterly hilarious.

[00:25:04] It's it's perfection I love him so much I know.

[00:25:08] Because Pommy but the Pommy vibes were everywhere everywhere oh god he was shaking like a leaf.

[00:25:17] He really want to see what's so so intense he was like shot up I am consumed with jealous rage.

[00:25:24] Oh this is a good episode.

[00:25:28] Okay now time for me to talk forever yes so so we are already have one but now we have two more as I said before so first let's do Tomahke's quirk the centrist quirk was explained by the ever present voice in the back of our head has it Mike.

[00:25:49] So Tomahke's quirk is expressed by how he eats and it is mainly looked like it's meat since it was expressed in tentacles a chicken foot and claim him he claim him anyway.

[00:26:02] So this probably has to do with how his stomach breakdown specifically meat protein so proteins are broken down by two main components in the stomach amino acid because your your stomach is very acidic and an enzyme called pepsin.

[00:26:18] So protein take a lot very a pretty long time to break down so they remain in the body far longer than carbs do.

[00:26:25] Eventually the pepsin will break down the proteins and then they head to the pancreas and where and that's where they enter the bloodstream.

[00:26:33] So this means that Tomahke probably has some sort of enzyme that recognizes the animal protein in his blood allowing him to transform a part of the body into the animal he consumed.

[00:26:45] So given how he had three different animal parts he probably consumed at least three meals prior to the release of his quirk, which means the process of what protein he can use depends on what he has eaten.

[00:26:59] So that probably within the last 24 hours at one point he said something along the lines of it's not wings.

[00:27:06] So that means he probably doesn't have much control on how his power will manifest or and or he probably only has control on of the manifesting the power in certain areas.

[00:27:20] So I know what he says he was upset that he manifested wings but didn't get to use them.

[00:27:27] Yeah, he didn't need them.

[00:27:29] So he was like damn why are these even here?

[00:27:32] So I think you're probably right.

[00:27:34] Yeah.

[00:27:35] So this means that Tomahke probably has to eat a pretty carnivorous diet to be able to produce what he wants.

[00:27:44] Yeah, that makes sense. I think looking from what I can remember a future episodes.

[00:27:49] I think yeah, I think it pretty much always comes down to some sort of protein.

[00:27:53] Yeah, there's there is one point where I think he uses plants and then something else which is lot pertinent so I won't say but yeah it is mostly animals.

[00:28:05] Yeah, maybe he just eats a lot of meat.

[00:28:10] Yeah, there are like maybe like you said since the protein stain your body much longer.

[00:28:15] Yeah, like that's usually what he has on hand maybe the one plant thing I remember is he had peanuts and so he's able to do the protein within the nuts and the legumes.

[00:28:27] Yeah, you have a lot of protein.

[00:28:28] Yeah, they do.

[00:28:29] They do.

[00:28:30] Yeah, we'll have to keep our eye on that.

[00:28:32] And now for fat gum.

[00:28:34] So his quirk is also based on what he eats. However, fat gum is the power of put on coat fatty will get more into this later on.

[00:28:44] But for now, he probably have seen a lot of calories to maintain his body brown.

[00:28:50] I would also assume instead of just focusing on meat like Tomahke's quirk or proteins if focus is more on the caloric intake as a whole.

[00:29:00] So he has his is similar in the way that to Sato's quirk, but instead of just eating sugar for strength, he eats probably more again more of everything being squishy as an advantage since he can use it to bounce back.
