MHA Season 4, Ep 11: Make the Yakuza Great Again

Hey y'all! Join us as we discuss the My Hero Academia episode "Lemillion", including Twice's barbie doll clones, reverse hauntings, and wars of the stars. Want more? Visit our website, myheroanalysis.com. Thanks for listening!

[00:00:00] Hey y'all, this podcast contains cursing, references to alcohol, marijuana and other

[00:00:05] drugs, and thirsty comments about adult characters. Thanks for listening.

[00:00:23] Hey y'all, this is My Hero Analysis, a podcast about My Hero Academia, aka Boku no Hero Academia.

[00:00:29] We are three grown adults who mine Japanese children's cartoons for serotonin because

[00:00:34] God knows our brains aren't making it naturally, especially this past week. We are all dying.

[00:00:41] Yeah, yeah. Hey y'all, I'm Fern and I was tired and in pain when I wrote these notes.

[00:00:48] I'm still tired and in pain, but we're gonna get through it. There are a few rants, but

[00:00:55] I tried to keep them brief. So no essays, just paragraphs.

[00:01:00] Yes, yes. I was ready to insert a lot of bad jokes, but I did not need to insert

[00:01:08] as many. Anyway, I'm Nicole. I don't promise I won't say insert again, but I am also

[00:01:16] in pain because baby boxes are bitches. So this is gonna be a super fun episode. Also,

[00:01:24] happy Beltane or and or belated Beltane, I guess to those who celebrate. I hope none

[00:01:30] of you got burnt in the bonfires. Yes, yes. Fire safety is key.

[00:01:35] Yep, no burnings. Unless you're a witch, which go for it. Hi, it's Maria. How are

[00:01:43] we in May already? Like where what what is time? I don't know. It's a bitch just

[00:01:49] like I'm confusion. So yet again, I am doing I did my notes on day of recording.

[00:02:01] I had reasons though. The last very good reasons. Yeah, I was extremely

[00:02:07] overstimulated these past couple of days and my brain was just like, nope, no,

[00:02:14] nah. And then finally today we were like, okay, we can work.

[00:02:21] Yeah, having a hobby when you're also an adult is really hard, y'all.

[00:02:26] It's so hard.

[00:02:30] It takes so much energy to enjoy what you enjoy sometimes. Yes, yes. Truer words

[00:02:38] were never spoken. So Maria, what is your recording snack for today?

[00:02:44] So I have a cluster of things. I have Lays potato chips with hot sauce. As per

[00:02:53] I was feeling spicy, but I was also feeling sweet. So I also have strawberries,

[00:02:57] fresh strawberries. Ooh, specifically and Mountain Dew because I'm a piece of

[00:03:03] shit. And that's where we're at.

[00:03:06] All of that sounds delicious. And I want all of it. All right. So we don't

[00:03:10] have any fan mail. Do we have any news?

[00:03:13] It's not really news. But like, as in when this airs, it's probably

[00:03:20] going to be well known. But in the lead up to the new season, season seven,

[00:03:26] Crunchyroll released a bunch of like recap episodes called MHA Memories or

[00:03:31] whatever they're called. I still need to watch them because apparently there

[00:03:34] are a couple new scenes in them. So I'm probably going to try and watch

[00:03:41] those this Friday because I don't have any other obligations that day.

[00:03:46] Thank goodness. Also, the new season does start this Saturday as we record

[00:03:53] on May the 4th because Horikoshi hates me personally. He's such a nerd.

[00:03:59] For those of you who don't know May 4th is also May the fourth day. So

[00:04:03] while the Star Wars dorks are losing their shit, we're even doing Star

[00:04:08] Wars shit at work. I'm not going to be a happy camper that day.

[00:04:11] We did not even register that it was coming up this weekend.

[00:04:18] Yeah, I have been forced to know it. It's horrible. Also, as we're talking

[00:04:27] about all the stuff that's coming out, the trading card OVA that came out

[00:04:32] after the last season, I don't think any of us ever watched it. So we need

[00:04:36] to find that and watch it.

[00:04:37] Oh my god, we do. Yeah, I forgot about that. There's so many OVAs we haven't

[00:04:42] seen.

[00:04:43] Yeah, I mean, some of them we can't access, which is rude, but fine. But

[00:04:47] I feel like we should be able to find this one if one of us actually

[00:04:50] sits down to do it.

[00:04:51] Yeah, I am of the age of where everything is on YouTube. Yeah. I saw

[00:04:58] my anime in like 10 parts.

[00:05:01] Yep. Yep. Same.

[00:05:03] So I'm sure we can find it.

[00:05:04] Yeah, yeah, man. I feel that. Yeah, one day we're actually going to do our

[00:05:10] jobs properly and watch the things we're supposed to watch.

[00:05:14] I still haven't finished season six.

[00:05:20] All right. Well, this week we're covering episode 11 of My Hero Academia

[00:05:25] season four, Lemillion, which in the manga is chapters 149 through 152.

[00:05:33] I'm going to lead us through a synopsis and then hand it over to Maria for her

[00:05:38] science corner. And then Nicole is going to jump in for discussion topics,

[00:05:42] manga differences and Easter eggs. And then we will wrap up the episode with

[00:05:46] our big spoiler section. So getting into the synopsis, we open up with

[00:05:51] two flashbacks. The first is Overhaul and Chrono on finishing

[00:05:57] perfecting the bullets, which can now permanently take away someone's

[00:06:01] quirk. So we've gotten that verbal confirmation, but they're really

[00:06:05] expensive to make. They only have a few of them and they need better

[00:06:08] facilities, AKA why Overhaul is going through all this bullshit.

[00:06:15] Yeah. Yeah. Also, Overhaul mentioning AFO by name.

[00:06:20] Like I know canonically it's pretty normal since at this point everyone

[00:06:26] knows who AFO is, but it did also make me go galaxy brained again.

[00:06:29] We will talk about it.

[00:06:32] Yeah, my one note was Overhaul is the worst of the fanboys.

[00:06:36] He is such a fanboy.

[00:06:38] He's such a bitch.

[00:06:41] Also, it's very plot convenient that they finished the bullets after the

[00:06:45] first meeting with the L.O.V., which you can tell because Overhaul has his

[00:06:50] new scar on his forehead. I would love to like insert soundbite of

[00:06:57] the I just think it's funny sound meme from the and that's why we drink

[00:07:02] podcast from Pam.

[00:07:04] It works perfectly.

[00:07:05] Yeah, it's so convenient.

[00:07:08] So weird and convenient and great and not suspicious at all.

[00:07:13] Yeah, it's almost like this is a cartoon and not real life and not

[00:07:18] real life and therefore has to follow plot structure.

[00:07:22] Hmm.

[00:07:23] How dare?

[00:07:26] But then the next flashback is one of the Shia Hasikay members whose name

[00:07:31] is Shin has a kind of like honesty compulsion quirk, which forces Toga

[00:07:38] and Twice to disclose how their quirks work.

[00:07:41] And Shin also asks if Shigi is planning to betray the Shia Hasikay,

[00:07:46] but Toga and Twice managed to dodge the question based on how it was

[00:07:50] phrased so they could say no.

[00:07:52] Yeah, this is just more fae fairy nonsense.

[00:07:56] So I need to moto to ask Izuku some questions just to get the two fae

[00:08:02] in a room together.

[00:08:03] Also, more importantly, I feel like I need to know does Twice need to

[00:08:09] measure folks dicks to make accurate copies or does the shoe size do

[00:08:14] double duty in that regard?

[00:08:17] This is a very important question.

[00:08:19] Horikoshi, I want answers.

[00:08:21] I want diagrams.

[00:08:22] I want it all.

[00:08:23] Maybe he just makes like little Barbie copies where they just

[00:08:27] don't have genitalia.

[00:08:28] Well, that's boring.

[00:08:31] He keeps his dick size.

[00:08:33] Yeah.

[00:08:34] He keeps his own dick.

[00:08:37] Every single copy he's made just has Twice's dick down there.

[00:08:42] This, I prefer that.

[00:08:43] That's hilarious.

[00:08:44] Let's go with that.

[00:08:45] Yes.

[00:08:45] Okay.

[00:08:46] So then we flash back to or we flash forward to the present and Toga is

[00:08:51] getting Mimic all riled up enough to scream and his scream kind of helps

[00:08:56] Izuku pinpoint his position.

[00:08:58] And then he, Aizawa, and Naidai managed to successfully capture Mimic.

[00:09:03] And this is also when the heroes realized that the League of Villains

[00:09:06] has turned on the Shiha Saikai and that everyone is being played.

[00:09:11] Yes.

[00:09:11] But more importantly, I want to know how the characters are

[00:09:15] I want to know how like everyone survived whatever height of freefall

[00:09:20] Mimic created like last episode where everyone was just falling down

[00:09:24] a bunch of tunnels.

[00:09:27] I feel like that was just, that was just forgotten.

[00:09:30] Also Toga reading Mimic for Phil with all his feeling inadequate and

[00:09:38] powerless so he looks down on others to make himself look tall.

[00:09:41] Like yes, queen, sleigh, get him.

[00:09:44] Yep.

[00:09:44] Toga really went into her petty castle for this.

[00:09:50] Yeah, it was hilarious.

[00:09:54] So then we cut to Mirio who has caught up with Overhaul and Airy.

[00:09:59] But another Shiha Saikai member, I think it's Daidaro or is it Daidaro?

[00:10:04] I don't know.

[00:10:05] Let's go with Daidaro.

[00:10:06] We did not do our homework.

[00:10:09] No, I actually did try to look up how to pronounce this and Google

[00:10:12] wasn't even remotely helpful.

[00:10:14] So damn it, Google, you need to do your homework.

[00:10:18] I just look at his name and think of Doug Trio.

[00:10:21] Yes.

[00:10:22] Yes.

[00:10:22] Yes.

[00:10:23] His name is now Doug Trio.

[00:10:26] Well anyways, this is the drunk guy and he hits Mirio with his

[00:10:31] drunkenness slash imbalance quirk.

[00:10:34] And then Shin then hits Mirio with his truthfulness quirk and forces

[00:10:39] Mirio to explain how his quirk works and admit that he didn't rescue

[00:10:43] Airy right away to quote unquote, make things go more smoothly.

[00:10:48] And Shin tries to demoralize Mirio by claiming his motivation to save

[00:10:53] Airy is selfish and you know we'll get to it.

[00:10:56] Oh yes.

[00:10:58] Also I'm getting some really gay vibes from Shin.

[00:11:02] Oh yeah.

[00:11:03] Like he likes Overhaul a little bit too much.

[00:11:06] Also it seems like he's the only one of the eight bullets of the

[00:11:10] Hasekai to like actually like Overhaul and he's also taking it a bit

[00:11:16] far because that's his crush.

[00:11:18] Yeah.

[00:11:19] Shin definitely has the hots for Overhaul.

[00:11:22] Yeah.

[00:11:22] Yeah.

[00:11:23] It's not, he's not even trying to hide it.

[00:11:27] Also I wonder if Daidaro imbibes other substances, like if he would do

[00:11:33] that it would cause those substances symptoms in the other folks along his

[00:11:39] quirk.

[00:11:40] The wiki did state that it is actually unclear if him drinking alcohol while

[00:11:45] he uses his quirk affects how the quirk works.

[00:11:50] So it's not even canon if him being drunk just causes other people to be

[00:11:56] drunk.

[00:11:56] He could be sober and they'll be drunk.

[00:11:59] We don't know.

[00:12:00] But I want to know what's going to happen if he does cocaine or molly and how

[00:12:05] that affects the fight.

[00:12:07] I answered this on the science corner.

[00:12:11] He tokes up and then accidentally hot boxes everyone in the room.

[00:12:15] Yeah.

[00:12:16] No more fights, just, just snacks.

[00:12:21] Snacks are important as I sit here and eat a strawberry.

[00:12:24] Yes.

[00:12:24] Yum.

[00:12:24] Yes.

[00:12:25] So Murio fights off the quirks and reveals that his own permeation quirk

[00:12:31] always leaves him feeling a bit off balance.

[00:12:33] So he's kind of more or less used to it.

[00:12:36] And so he's able to defeat both cronies before just going straight for

[00:12:41] overhaul.

[00:12:42] And he also reveals that yes, regret is part of his motivation, but also

[00:12:46] like he just think Ares a good kid and he wants to, he wants to see her

[00:12:51] smiling and happy like she should be like his motivations are both selfish

[00:12:55] and unselfish.

[00:12:57] Yes, because that is actually allowed and does not make you a bad person.

[00:13:01] We'll get to it.

[00:13:03] Also Murio kicking Crono in the face after going through.

[00:13:06] Ares is a badass move.

[00:13:09] Yes.

[00:13:10] Yes.

[00:13:11] Yep.

[00:13:11] Mary really pulled on Izuku in this move.

[00:13:15] He's been watching the broccoli boy super closely.

[00:13:18] Oh my God.

[00:13:19] Yeah.

[00:13:19] That's totally something Izuku would do also so smart.

[00:13:22] I loved it.

[00:13:23] Mm hmm.

[00:13:25] So yeah, fight, fight, fight, blah, blah, blah.

[00:13:27] We all know I hate describing that.

[00:13:30] But basically Murio learns Ares isn't actually overhaul's child and they try

[00:13:36] to shoot Murio with the Quirk canceling bullet, but he just phases through them.

[00:13:42] Also Murio's costume includes a cape so he can use it like a blanket to

[00:13:46] comfort the people he saves.

[00:13:49] Mm hmm.

[00:13:50] Yep.

[00:13:50] It was basically just Horikoshi.

[00:13:52] Once again, inverting all the cape tropes.

[00:13:56] I feel like Horikoshi watched the Incredibles and whenever he heard

[00:14:00] Edna mode's comments, he just said bet.

[00:14:03] Yeah.

[00:14:04] I just think Edna mode would still be pissed.

[00:14:06] She'd be like, no, no cape.

[00:14:08] Yeah.

[00:14:09] They'd argue.

[00:14:10] Oh yeah.

[00:14:11] Oh yes.

[00:14:11] Yeah.

[00:14:12] And then Murio just beating everyone up while just yelling power,

[00:14:18] like with every punch and kick for whatever reason, it reminded me of

[00:14:22] Rengoku.

[00:14:23] Oh my God.

[00:14:25] He is so Rengoku coated.

[00:14:27] I, yes.

[00:14:29] Oh my God.

[00:14:29] He is.

[00:14:30] That's hilarious.

[00:14:32] Oh, that's so cute.

[00:14:33] Oh my God.

[00:14:34] Except he doesn't die, which you know.

[00:14:37] Yeah.

[00:14:38] Yeah.

[00:14:38] Yeah.

[00:14:38] Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen.

[00:14:42] Pussy doodle.

[00:14:44] Honestly, if you've made it this far into 2024 in the anime world and

[00:14:49] don't know where Rengoku is dead, that's impressive.

[00:14:54] But, and therefore we're not sorry.

[00:14:58] It's like well-known.

[00:15:00] Oh Lord.

[00:15:02] But yeah.

[00:15:02] So during this fight, Murio also reveals Overhaul's actual name, which kind

[00:15:07] of triggers Overhaul's backstory about being taken in by the previous Yakuza

[00:15:12] boss who didn't like Overhaul's plan to reinstate the Yakuza because it

[00:15:17] meant abandoning chivalry.

[00:15:19] Because he's a dork.

[00:15:22] It's very interesting that we don't exactly know what innovations Chizuki was

[00:15:27] suggesting like at the time, if they're the same as they are now or if he had

[00:15:32] other less horrible plans before.

[00:15:36] But I do like that the boss knew that Chizuki was willing to essentially

[00:15:41] abandon his humanity to pursue that innovation and make the, again, make

[00:15:48] the Yakuza great again.

[00:15:50] I feel like he's been trying to therapy Chizuki since he found him.

[00:15:55] Oh yeah.

[00:15:57] I had a big brain moment.

[00:15:58] The boss was trying to do what AFO should have done with Shiggy,

[00:16:01] the parallels, Horikoshi.

[00:16:04] Yup.

[00:16:05] Horikoshi, how dare you?

[00:16:06] The parallels are freaking endless.

[00:16:09] Imagine like this.

[00:16:10] End everywhere.

[00:16:11] AFO finding Chizuki, I mean, whatever Overhaul first and then

[00:16:16] Shiggy going with the boss.

[00:16:18] Like, ugh.

[00:16:20] Oh man.

[00:16:22] What could have happened?

[00:16:23] What could have been?

[00:16:24] And then we wouldn't have plot, but you know.

[00:16:27] I guess.

[00:16:30] But yeah, back to the fight.

[00:16:31] So Shin figures out a way to shoot Mirio with the Quirk canceling bullet.

[00:16:37] He aims it at Aeri.

[00:16:38] So Mirio has no choice to block it with his own body and take the hit for her.

[00:16:44] And then we get another flashback.

[00:16:45] This really is the flashback episode.

[00:16:48] This time to Mirio's back to Mirio's backstory, when he first got his Quirk

[00:16:53] and his dad was like, yeah, sorry.

[00:16:56] You got a sucky Quirk.

[00:16:58] You got it for me.

[00:16:59] And Mirio's like, no, no, I'm going to be a hero with this somehow.

[00:17:03] Yeah.

[00:17:03] And he got his like rainbow sparkles moment.

[00:17:06] I feel like he's the only one outside of Izuku and Katsuki

[00:17:11] to have the rainbow sparkles.

[00:17:13] Like thanks Horikoshi for the pain in my heart.

[00:17:18] And then we get the credits and a post credit scene where Mirio is now

[00:17:22] Quirkless and back into a corner.

[00:17:25] Overhaul starts taunting him because of course he does.

[00:17:28] And then boom, Izuku smashes through the wall.

[00:17:34] Badass.

[00:17:35] Also in the little quick preview for the next episode, Izuku narrates

[00:17:39] that now it's his turn after Mirio sacrificed everything in his turn in the fight,

[00:17:46] further strengthening Mirio's parallels with All Might.

[00:17:50] Horikoshi, I am tired.

[00:17:52] I know you're tired.

[00:17:53] Go take a nap, please.

[00:17:57] We're all exhausted.

[00:17:58] So some things of note at the beginning of the episode,

[00:18:02] Overhaul uses he, him pronouns for Magni and Toga and Twice

[00:18:07] immediately correct him.

[00:18:09] And then I put Loki here, but actually they just basically threaten him

[00:18:13] with like death.

[00:18:14] They're like, don't make that mistake again.

[00:18:16] Or you're screwed.

[00:18:18] Yeah, because Overhaul is a bitch.

[00:18:21] Yep.

[00:18:21] It's just a bitch.

[00:18:22] Mm hmm.

[00:18:23] And as they should, they should have tore him a new one.

[00:18:27] Yep. Yep. Yep. Agreed.

[00:18:29] Also Ochako appears in Toga's explanation of her quirk.

[00:18:34] And I got a good little giggle out of that.

[00:18:36] Yep. Yep.

[00:18:36] It's a very nice Easter egg for later arcs.

[00:18:40] That is is obsessed.

[00:18:42] Yes, she really is.

[00:18:45] Also, it literally just occurred to me as I was doing these notes

[00:18:48] that Nighteye's super dense seals are his version

[00:18:53] of All Might's smash punches.

[00:18:55] And I just this gay man.

[00:18:58] What the fuck?

[00:18:59] Gay.

[00:19:01] Also, you can tell that my Adderall had worn off at this point

[00:19:05] in the notes, because when I saw this note,

[00:19:08] I just said my brain went seal smash.

[00:19:10] Selkie, where is Selkie?

[00:19:12] I miss him.

[00:19:13] Mm hmm.

[00:19:14] I miss him too.

[00:19:16] He should be here.

[00:19:18] Yeah.

[00:19:19] Also, I love that Murio's dad is like so supportive

[00:19:22] because he could have been bitter or like tried to live vicariously

[00:19:26] through his kid, but instead he's like freaking normal about it.

[00:19:29] Like, thank God.

[00:19:30] Yeah.

[00:19:31] Like, oh, a good parent. Good, good.

[00:19:33] But also, Papa Togeta, he just looks like a carbon copy of Astro Boy

[00:19:38] and like, poor Toshi.

[00:19:40] Please.

[00:19:41] Oh, my God, you are so right.

[00:19:43] I didn't even like make the connection,

[00:19:46] except, you know, he's an adult form, but still, what?

[00:19:49] Mm hmm.

[00:19:51] And then finally, Overhaul's whole like disease

[00:19:54] curse metaphor for quirks kind of reminds me of like

[00:19:58] a current internet trend where people are referring to like

[00:20:01] mental illnesses or neurodivergence as family curses, which is hilarious.

[00:20:06] But also, quirks continue to be a metaphor for literally everything under the sun.

[00:20:11] Yes, literally everything.

[00:20:13] Also, I really want to like pick apart Overhaul's whole deal

[00:20:18] with quirks being a disease because they make you think differently

[00:20:23] of what you can do versus what you would be able to do without them.

[00:20:27] Like, does he really think that or is is that just like the metaphor

[00:20:31] that lets him sound the coolest, even though it's completely inaccurate and stupid?

[00:20:36] He also calls Mirio infected after his quirk was taken away.

[00:20:41] So if it's if it's like the mindset that quirks give you,

[00:20:45] that is the real infection, erasing quirks isn't going to actually be

[00:20:49] the end all be all of curing hero society.

[00:20:53] And then my brain broke and this is just why I'm not a philosopher.

[00:20:57] There's too much back and forth.

[00:20:58] I can't keep track of it.

[00:20:59] See, you're thinking logically and logic has absolutely nothing to do with prejudice.

[00:21:06] Root. Fair.

[00:21:09] But yeah, Overhaul is a boomer confirmed.

[00:21:13] Yes. Yes. Yep. Yep.

[00:21:15] That works.

[00:21:17] OK, well, it's time for Maria Science.

[00:21:20] Well, it's not really a corner this time.

[00:21:23] Science block. We're going to go with block this time.

[00:21:26] OK, so science.

[00:21:28] OK, so we have a bit of science this time.

[00:21:30] So first of all, wall dude guys, I'm horrible with names.

[00:21:34] Don't come at me.

[00:21:35] Yeah. Mimic. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:21:38] Mimic. So I am assuming he controls his surroundings by using his molecules.

[00:21:44] His quirk could be be like skin scales attaching to the walls

[00:21:48] or else probably something like telekinesis

[00:21:51] that allows you to move stuff with your mind or, you know,

[00:21:54] this good old anime magic.

[00:21:58] For drunk dudes quirk, he probably uses pheromones to release his quirk.

[00:22:03] And I mean, even us mere mortals drink a lot of who drink a lot of alcohol.

[00:22:08] You can smell it on us the next day.

[00:22:11] I think his is just a more concentrated form of that.

[00:22:15] So I think that maybe if it's like that, then yes, Nicole,

[00:22:19] it is probable that could use other substances.

[00:22:22] Yes. Yes, I want everyone to fight on meth.

[00:22:25] Get in there, dude. Oh, my God.

[00:22:27] That would be hilarious.

[00:22:30] Oh, my word.

[00:22:32] Can you imagine overhaul on meth?

[00:22:35] He is already so strung out.

[00:22:37] He would he would just overhaul level out

[00:22:41] and not be able to put himself back together. Yep.

[00:22:45] That'd be nice.

[00:22:47] So as for a truth guy,

[00:22:49] I think it's a vibration thing.

[00:22:52] He uses his voice to trigger the truth from the questions he asked.

[00:22:55] So vibrations can interrupt the brain's natural wave, causing them to say the truth.

[00:23:01] Honestly, this is probably the one I'm most terrified about

[00:23:04] only because I have ADHD and I would say so many things

[00:23:08] that I'd rather not say out loud.

[00:23:11] I do I do like that.

[00:23:12] His quirk is like infrasound kind of like it messes with your brain.

[00:23:16] Yeah, it kind of is because don't don't they show the like

[00:23:19] the little wave animation when he speaks? I'm pretty sure.

[00:23:21] Yes. Yeah.

[00:23:22] At first, I thought it was pheromone based,

[00:23:24] but then I remembered like the waves and the face part portion of it.

[00:23:29] And I was like, OK, going more towards the waves.

[00:23:32] Yep. Yep. Infrasound confirmed, which also infrasound is terrifying.

[00:23:37] Like look it up if you want to be spooked.

[00:23:40] Anyway, moving along to discussion topics,

[00:23:43] we're going to start with quote unquote good versus quote unquote bad quirks.

[00:23:48] Yeah, this is definitely something we've talked about before.

[00:23:51] So I'll try not to repeat myself, but I will reiterate

[00:23:55] that I like the way Horikoshi breaks down higher level concepts

[00:23:59] because we've already been introduced multiple times

[00:24:02] to the idea that some quirks are viewed as like

[00:24:05] inherently villainous or destructive or useless.

[00:24:08] And then we get Murio

[00:24:10] who's like, no, it's not what you got.

[00:24:13] It's what you do with it.

[00:24:14] And I'm going to be literal living proof.

[00:24:19] And I also love that Murio struggle with his quirk in that way

[00:24:23] is exactly what allows him to cope with losing it.

[00:24:27] Because like if he can be a hero with a non-heroic quirk,

[00:24:30] then obviously he can also be a hero without a quirk at all.

[00:24:35] I also love that whatever mindset that his trainings

[00:24:39] and his struggles gave him allows him to see that

[00:24:42] Eri as wrongly vilified and abused as she is,

[00:24:48] she's still able to like be the kindest of them all,

[00:24:51] at least to Murio's point of view,

[00:24:54] and like further proves his own belief that quirk is not fayed.

[00:24:58] Therefore, further proving Horikoshi's whole thing.

[00:25:02] Oh, yeah. So I thought I would have something profound to say at this point.

[00:25:07] I have nothing you guys covered at all.

[00:25:11] Listeners, if you don't know, I my after the science portion,

[00:25:16] my brain just shut off.

[00:25:17] I saw text and I was like, no.

[00:25:21] Yeah, this is where my rants come in.

[00:25:23] Yeah, yeah. All right.

[00:25:25] So moving on to the next point, we're going to talk about how

[00:25:30] bitch ass Shin basically accuses

[00:25:33] Murio of only saving Eri to make himself feel better and like, dude.

[00:25:39] Mm hmm. Mm hmm.

[00:25:40] So, yeah, as we can see, Overhaul and his followers are very good

[00:25:44] at using the tools that were used to hurt them.

[00:25:48] So like we've already talked about, hero society relies on moral absolutism.

[00:25:53] So that means like all actions are inherently either right or wrong,

[00:25:58] regardless of circumstance.

[00:26:00] And if that's true, then all intentions must be inherently pure or impure,

[00:26:06] regardless of actions, which means all emotions are inherently good or bad,

[00:26:11] regardless of intentions, which means all people are inherently good or bad,

[00:26:16] which means it's morally acceptable to ignore or harm the,

[00:26:19] quote unquote, bad people because they're just bad.

[00:26:22] Like that's all there is to them.

[00:26:24] And I know this sounds extreme, but absolutism

[00:26:29] and extremism go go hand in hand.

[00:26:31] Like absolutism requires you to push your point

[00:26:35] to the furthest logical extreme and then keep on pushing.

[00:26:40] Yeah, you are so smart and eloquent.

[00:26:45] I'm just frustrated with the world.

[00:26:48] Yeah, yeah. But you say it so well,

[00:26:51] as opposed to me who just growls at my phone.

[00:26:54] That doesn't help anything.

[00:26:55] I also do a lot of growling at my phone.

[00:27:00] But yeah, so, you know, following that line of logic,

[00:27:03] that's why the Shia Hasiqi were cast out of society in the first place.

[00:27:08] Like that logic has been used against them.

[00:27:11] And now they're trying to drag Mario down with them like,

[00:27:14] oh, you're not perfect either.

[00:27:15] Therefore, you're just as evil as me.

[00:27:18] You know, we've all heard that bullshit.

[00:27:20] You know, it's just it's just fighting extremism

[00:27:24] with another kind of extremism that's skewed in their favor.

[00:27:28] But Mario doesn't fall for it because he knows

[00:27:30] that moral absolutism is bullshit period.

[00:27:33] Like sometimes you the right choices make you feel like shit.

[00:27:37] And it sucks if there's even a right choice available to you,

[00:27:41] because often there isn't one or the right choice in the moment

[00:27:45] ends up being the wrong choice years down the road.

[00:27:48] Like, it's just it's it's complicated and it's context dependent.

[00:27:52] Yeah. And you can't just make people feel bad about it

[00:27:56] just because and it's shame.

[00:27:59] You're a bitch.

[00:28:00] Yeah, it's just manipulation is all it is.

[00:28:02] Yes, that's all it is.

[00:28:04] Yeah. Also, Mario like himself, like as a character,

[00:28:08] is proof that here society's moral absolutism is just bullshit

[00:28:13] because he has this non-heroic quirk.

[00:28:16] Therefore, according to their absolutism,

[00:28:18] he should be evil.

[00:28:20] But he becomes a powerful or rather it becomes a powerful

[00:28:24] heroic tool, and therefore he's like just obviously immune

[00:28:28] to all of that rhetoric and manipulation.

[00:28:30] Like even as they try to use his own gray areas of shame

[00:28:34] and guilt against him too, like he just knows

[00:28:38] like it's like it's a non-starter with him.

[00:28:41] Yeah, yeah, exactly.

[00:28:42] His life has been too complicated.

[00:28:44] Yeah, yeah.

[00:28:46] He's such a good character,

[00:28:47] but he's still annoying because he's the sunshine character.

[00:28:51] I'm not sorry.

[00:28:54] Look, we all know you want your grumpy babies.

[00:28:57] Yes, yes, I love them.

[00:29:00] But yes, to tie it all together, there is no real like

[00:29:05] there are very few things that are black and white.

[00:29:08] Yes.

[00:29:09] Very, very few things that are black and white.

[00:29:12] Almost everything that we deal with in our daily lives,

[00:29:16] just like down to the meniscus, like where am I going to go today?

[00:29:20] There is like there is a reaction to that.

[00:29:23] So there is no real like absolute truth.

[00:29:26] That is my Ted talk.

[00:29:29] Yes, absolutely.

[00:29:32] All right.

[00:29:32] So moving along to manga differences in Chapter 149,

[00:29:36] there's in the flashback scene with Toga and twice with the Shia

[00:29:40] Hisaiki, the first of the eight bullets that we saw,

[00:29:45] like the guy who bursts out of the entrance and ultimately pulls Ryukyu

[00:29:49] and her agency into the fight that's currently going on topside.

[00:29:54] He's portrayed not nearly as big as he is in the anime.

[00:29:59] So either he has a growing quirk or they just changed it for the anime.

[00:30:04] Hmm.

[00:30:05] A lot of growing quirks.

[00:30:07] I wonder if that's compensation for any of them.

[00:30:09] The metaphor.

[00:30:11] Oh, man.

[00:30:14] Anyway, for Chapter

[00:30:20] Yes, thank you.

[00:30:22] Beautiful.

[00:30:24] All right.

[00:30:25] For Chapter 150,

[00:30:28] Nomoto's background as a con artist is in the manga,

[00:30:32] and the translation is different from

[00:30:35] President Mike's quirk introduction in the anime,

[00:30:38] rather than Nomoto being able to reveal,

[00:30:41] quote, a truth the person doesn't even know about, unquote.

[00:30:45] Nomoto can actually reveal a target's weakness that they don't know about.

[00:30:51] I kind of like the anime version better since people

[00:30:54] kind of rarely know their own weaknesses anyway.

[00:30:57] But like, can Nomoto make someone reveal

[00:31:00] national secrets that they didn't even know they knew?

[00:31:03] Like, I need I need more information.

[00:31:05] What's going on here?

[00:31:08] Also, also between the manga and the dub, which is what I watched,

[00:31:13] they really, really ramped up Nomoto's gayness for overhaul.

[00:31:18] Like, you can't even tell in the manga that there's anything going on.

[00:31:23] And then in the dub, it's like, oh, he's he's overhauls bitch.

[00:31:27] Like, whoa.

[00:31:29] The voice actor was like, I got this, y'all.

[00:31:31] I know exactly how to play it.

[00:31:33] And he was right.

[00:31:35] Also back to the fucking Wars of the Stars,

[00:31:40] Mirio's ultimate move in the manga,

[00:31:43] essentially, it's just a translation difference, but it's called Phantom Menace.

[00:31:47] And I hate everything everywhere.

[00:31:49] Why? Why?

[00:31:52] I love how much this annoys you.

[00:31:54] It's very emo.

[00:31:56] It's for a sunshine character.

[00:31:57] I'm here for it. Yes.

[00:31:59] Yes. Like, of course, he would he would have to name a move

[00:32:02] after the most boring Star Wars movie in all of them,

[00:32:06] according to Star Wars folks.

[00:32:08] I don't know.

[00:32:09] I haven't seen it all the way through.

[00:32:11] Apparently, there's a lot of Congress.

[00:32:12] I don't know.

[00:32:13] I can't remember which one that is.

[00:32:15] So it's episode one where Anakin is a little bitch in the in the races.

[00:32:21] And then there's they're in Congress for a while.

[00:32:23] I don't know. I'm tired.

[00:32:26] Can we be done with Star Wars?

[00:32:28] Anyway, for chapter 151,

[00:32:31] the big boss's warnings to Chizuki more closely match the sub than the dub.

[00:32:37] And we also get a little bit more of Nomoto's backstory in the manga,

[00:32:41] but it doesn't really change anything.

[00:32:43] And then for chapter 152,

[00:32:45] we get more of the big three in Mirio's flashbacks after he gets shot,

[00:32:49] and including a whole conversation he had had with Nenjiru and Namajiki

[00:32:53] at some point in their past.

[00:32:55] But more importantly,

[00:32:57] also, what the actual fuck was going on here in the manga

[00:33:02] when Mirio gets hit by the bullet.

[00:33:06] Somehow, Namajiki, who, by the way, is unconscious a few floors away,

[00:33:12] Namajiki wakes up and knows that something is wrong with Mirio

[00:33:17] at the moment he gets shot.

[00:33:19] Like what?

[00:33:20] First of all, how?

[00:33:22] Second of all, why would you take that out?

[00:33:24] It was peak gay, beautiful, wonderful.

[00:33:27] This is homophobia, but also I need answers.

[00:33:30] Why was that in there? What's going on?

[00:33:32] They're soulmates.

[00:33:34] Yes, which ties into our whole quirks as souls,

[00:33:38] as more tangible in this world.

[00:33:40] And I need more information.

[00:33:42] Horikoshi, why?

[00:33:44] Why don't?

[00:33:47] I have questions that I can't even verbalize

[00:33:50] because I just realized how it connects to the astral plane

[00:33:54] and the souls and anyway.

[00:33:57] You're going.

[00:33:58] That hurts.

[00:33:59] I can't go rapid right now.

[00:34:03] OK, moving along.

[00:34:05] I will not move along personally, but we got to move along.

[00:34:09] It is also much clearer that Chizuki's quirk as disease

[00:34:14] because it lets your dreams come true, like that being his whole thing.

[00:34:18] It's much clearer that it is just utter nonsense in the manga.

[00:34:22] That's nice.

[00:34:23] Yeah, no, he's just yeah, he's just an idiot.

[00:34:27] He's he's he's just stupid moving along to Easter eggs.

[00:34:34] We do have a lot of big spoilers to talk about.

[00:34:36] But before we get to those

[00:34:39] Didaro's Didaro Sakaki's name, the drunk guy,

[00:34:42] includes the kanji for sake because Horikoshi

[00:34:47] cannot resist his name perfection compulsion.

[00:34:50] Hmm. Sounds like someone I know.

[00:34:52] Hmm.

[00:34:54] Dare you dare you

[00:34:58] dare you drag me?

[00:35:01] It's loving.

[00:35:03] It better be because God damn.

[00:35:06] Also, the drunk guy is the voice by Zeno Robinson,

[00:35:09] who is Hawks's English voice actor in a few episodes like.

[00:35:14] Yeah, yes.

[00:35:15] Get Yes, sir.

[00:35:16] Thank you for being here so early.

[00:35:18] OK, and then at some point when the boss is talking,

[00:35:25] he mentions the Toto gang.

[00:35:28] And of course, because I was done with my Adderall

[00:35:32] at the point I did these notes, my brain immediately

[00:35:35] went to the big dumb dummy Toto from Jujutsu Kaisen.

[00:35:38] So obviously, he had a different career path in this reality

[00:35:42] universe, and like unless

[00:35:45] unless the Toto gang also practices Jujutsu

[00:35:48] sorcery within the MHA world, and now I need somebody to write me a fanfic.

[00:35:54] I can so see Toto becoming like a gang leader.

[00:35:59] Yes, becoming a very chivalrous but also terrifying Yakuza member

[00:36:04] because his sir.

[00:36:07] I need to sit down that kind of vibe.

[00:36:11] Yeah, yeah, for sure, for sure.

[00:36:13] Also, there is a flashback to obviously when Murio wasn't able to control his quirk.

[00:36:19] So he like fell through a bridge into a river and he was saved by a random hero.

[00:36:24] I have to assume that that is who he models his costume after, I guess, maybe.

[00:36:30] Yeah, but there's there's like no real confirmation.

[00:36:33] Like the colors kind of maybe match, but I don't know.

[00:36:36] I don't know.

[00:36:38] Now we're going to get into the big spoiler section

[00:36:41] where we will be talking about all of the like up to the current manga chapters,

[00:36:46] which as of as we record is chapter 421.

[00:36:50] So much is going on.

[00:36:51] So if you don't want to know, we love you. Goodbye.

[00:36:53] But also, what are you doing? Go read them.

[00:36:56] Yeah. So I made these points before reading chapter 421.

[00:37:02] So I'm not sure how much of this is going to apply, but we'll see.

[00:37:06] But it still does.

[00:37:07] Yeah. So this is something we've also talked about before.

[00:37:10] But I continue to wonder if Mirio losing his quirk and still being determined

[00:37:15] to be a hero was potential foreshadowing for current manga events.

[00:37:20] Like Izuku's got his arm back, arms back. Thank God.

[00:37:25] That's good.

[00:37:26] One for all is gone slash not gone.

[00:37:31] I don't really know what the status of that is.

[00:37:33] We don't entirely know how the quote unquote ember

[00:37:38] that's left in him works, like if it's still just a power storage quirk

[00:37:43] and my new head cannon

[00:37:46] or if there's more more to it than that.

[00:37:49] So, you know, I'm still wondering if Izuku is going to be the first

[00:37:54] quirkless hero after all, or like mostly quirkless.

[00:37:57] I don't really know.

[00:37:58] I guess we'll have to wait and see.

[00:38:00] Yes, we will have to wait and see because they're making us

[00:38:04] wait two weeks instead of one. And how dare they?

[00:38:05] But also get your rest.

[00:38:07] But also so much is happening.

[00:38:09] Yeah, Maria Izuku lost his arms, but now they're back.

[00:38:13] Yeah, I figured he would get his arms back.

[00:38:16] No, he was never worried about that.

[00:38:18] Yeah, no, he's got he's got plot armor.

[00:38:20] Yeah, yeah.

[00:38:22] Now, if another character had lost his arms, I'd be a little more worried.

[00:38:26] Yeah. Yeah, we've had a lot of characters lose limbs.

[00:38:29] Yeah. Yeah.

[00:38:32] Oh, man. Star Wars.

[00:38:33] I hate you.

[00:38:36] So then my other thought was, of course, about Eri and,

[00:38:41] you know, how she's been taught that she has to take pain in order

[00:38:44] to spare others as like an eternal penance for committing

[00:38:48] the horrible sin of existing.

[00:38:50] So when the gun is aimed at her during the fight, she was like, yep,

[00:38:55] this is my life. Like, let's just let's get this over with.

[00:38:58] This is what I do.

[00:38:59] And I wonder if Mirio taking the bullet for her was like

[00:39:03] the catalyst that started rewiring her sweet little baby brain.

[00:39:08] Plus, you know, Izuku and Aizawa's influence, of course.

[00:39:11] But like, I wonder if this was like the start of that.

[00:39:15] Because like now in the manga, she's still definitely eager to be helpful.

[00:39:19] Like she wanted to go into battle to save Izuku and Katsuki.

[00:39:23] But she clearly understands a little better in her own way

[00:39:27] that like sacrifices a two way street.

[00:39:29] Like she can't go into battlefield into the battlefield

[00:39:32] because it's too dangerous.

[00:39:34] So others need to handle that danger on her behalf.

[00:39:37] So she ends up finding another way to help that doesn't involve

[00:39:40] risking her own life because, you know, healthy communities

[00:39:44] need balance, not scapegoats.

[00:39:46] So I don't know.

[00:39:47] I think I was just happy to think about Aeri's growth

[00:39:52] as a little kid and how she's already on such a better path

[00:39:57] than she would have been and how she's going to grow up so great.

[00:40:00] I don't know. I got emotional.

[00:40:02] Yes, yes. Yes, you did.

[00:40:03] And if that doesn't like completely mirror our world.

[00:40:07] I know, right?

[00:40:09] Yeah.

[00:40:09] Horikoshi!

[00:40:13] Horikoshi, the mirror mallet.

[00:40:15] Ow!

[00:40:16] Yes, that's why our heads hurt.

[00:40:19] That's why we're all in pain

[00:40:21] is because Horikoshi just keeps smacking us.

[00:40:24] All right.

[00:40:24] And now that Fern has been wonderfully eloquent again,

[00:40:27] it's time for me to spiral about all the connections.

[00:40:31] Yes.

[00:40:33] And again, I actually did these notes

[00:40:35] before we got chapter 421 as well.

[00:40:38] I feel like there weren't any real connections to Overhaul

[00:40:41] and like this arc in 421 as there was in 420, Lazy.

[00:40:48] I made the note that I was fully expecting

[00:40:50] there to be more of a spiral about, but who knows?

[00:40:53] At some point, I think it was at the very start of the episode,

[00:40:57] Overhaul says that we were finally able to preserve Ares Quark.

[00:41:02] And it was very interesting that he used that word

[00:41:05] for the quark nullifying bullets.

[00:41:07] So if he was able to like preserve her quark outside of her body,

[00:41:11] now that she may or may not have her whole horn,

[00:41:17] would she be able to preserve it in another way,

[00:41:19] aka with her blood, aka Black King needs to be her mentor?

[00:41:25] And like, yeah, remember him?

[00:41:26] He hasn't been active in a whole fucking while, but he's the blood guy.

[00:41:33] One king was forgotten.

[00:41:35] He's a little busy with the whole other class.

[00:41:38] Yeah, yeah, he's he's got a lot on his plate, I'm sure.

[00:41:41] But yeah, that's an interesting point.

[00:41:43] Like, is it all just in her because they they got her blood, right?

[00:41:47] That's how they yeah, they they did a whole bunch of blood draws.

[00:41:51] That's why she was always covered in bandages

[00:41:53] because they were always taking blood from all her veins.

[00:41:55] They never really went for the horn.

[00:41:57] So, yeah, so it's not just in her horn.

[00:42:00] There are like other parts of her body where it's being stored.

[00:42:02] So, yeah, I mean, yeah, why not?

[00:42:05] Yes. Bloodbending. Let's do it.

[00:42:07] Bloodbending for good. Let's do it.

[00:42:10] All right. Next, Overhaul knows who all for one is.

[00:42:15] Like we know that.

[00:42:16] But when did he first find out?

[00:42:18] Because remember, in 420, we got we got lore and it was painful,

[00:42:22] but it was good.

[00:42:24] In this episode, we presumably see Overhaul after the orphanage.

[00:42:30] But we don't really know how much he knew about the people writing it.

[00:42:35] Like, we don't know if he knew it was AFO's orphanage.

[00:42:39] Did he only learn about AFO after the orphanage or like,

[00:42:42] was it the whole time?

[00:42:44] And now he can talk about it now that Kamino essentially outed AFO to society.

[00:42:49] And also is his whole reshape society nonsense thing.

[00:42:53] Something that's been burbling in his poor little brain since the orphanage.

[00:42:58] Like the connections.

[00:43:00] There's so much possibilities now.

[00:43:02] I'm spiraling and using my arms for too much for a sound medium.

[00:43:08] Well, he clearly doesn't seem to know that Shiggy has a copy of his quirk

[00:43:12] because he absolutely would have brought that up in order to lord it over him.

[00:43:17] So I'm assuming he knows almost nothing

[00:43:20] and then probably found out about AFO because he's just so notorious.

[00:43:25] Right, right. Or he like knew AFO was the big baddie,

[00:43:30] but he didn't know what was actually going on.

[00:43:32] Like maybe he knew AFO was like the thunder for the orphanage

[00:43:35] and therefore he always had to be nice to him.

[00:43:37] I don't know.

[00:43:39] We don't know yet because Horikoshi didn't drop that lore.

[00:43:42] Yeah, I would assume Overhaul is completely ignorant

[00:43:45] about the about the orphanage's origins,

[00:43:49] because why on earth would they tell the kids that would give the kids power?

[00:43:53] Yeah, that's true.

[00:43:54] Also, I don't know if we mentioned it before, either in regular episodes

[00:43:58] or in Catch the Fuck Up episodes, but Overhaul wearing gloves,

[00:44:02] just like Shiggy does, should have been some sort of clue.

[00:44:08] Oh, my God. But also hindsight is 20-20.

[00:44:10] So who even knows if we ever would have put it together,

[00:44:13] even though their quirks were kind of similar.

[00:44:15] Yeah, but like a lot of people have similar quirks.

[00:44:19] Horikoshi, you bitch.

[00:44:21] Horikoshi, how dare you hide the breadcrumbs so well?

[00:44:25] All right.

[00:44:26] And then at some point Overhaul says,

[00:44:29] Aerie knows what I can do.

[00:44:31] I think this was sometime during the fight with Mario.

[00:44:34] So my brain immediately went to, has he disassembled and reassembled her before

[00:44:40] or has she just seen others get disassembled?

[00:44:43] Also, if he has disassembled her,

[00:44:45] how do we know her quirk is even the same as it was when she was born?

[00:44:49] And there are too many hypotheticals.

[00:44:51] Horikoshi, I need you to drop more lore.

[00:44:53] What is going on in this twisted little family tree you've built?

[00:44:57] Well, she saw him explode the original babysitter, right?

[00:45:02] Yes. So we know she's seen folks be disassembled,

[00:45:05] but has it happened to her yet is what we don't really know.

[00:45:09] It's not really clear.

[00:45:10] Assuming if she has, if they've been taking out all the blood from her,

[00:45:14] he's had to reassemble her arms.

[00:45:17] Oh, yeah.

[00:45:18] He's probably had to like reassemble, like refill her blood.

[00:45:22] Yeah. But but then if he was just reassembling her blood count,

[00:45:26] why is she always wearing bandages?

[00:45:28] If he's recouping her blood loss, he would heal.

[00:45:30] Oh, yeah.

[00:45:32] The needles, the needle marks.

[00:45:34] I feel like he probably hasn't disassembled her before

[00:45:37] just because he wouldn't want to risk compromising her work in any way.

[00:45:41] Yeah. But also, I need to know for sure, Horikoshi.

[00:45:44] I know you have a chart.

[00:45:46] Can you please just email it to us?

[00:45:48] We won't share it. We promise.

[00:45:50] I need to know personally.

[00:45:52] And you owe me for all this Star Wars bullshit.

[00:45:56] OK, moving along again.

[00:45:58] So the Yakuza boss finds Chizuki as a child,

[00:46:02] seemingly in the middle of nowhere, like out in nature.

[00:46:05] It doesn't look like he's in any kind of city setting.

[00:46:09] Chizuki looks dirty and he doesn't talk very much.

[00:46:12] So, again, we're assuming I'm assuming at least that this is directly

[00:46:16] after or shortly after the orphanage and when it was actually destroyed

[00:46:19] by Toya if I'm remembering that part of Toya's arc correctly.

[00:46:23] I think he burns it down, which is good, but also really.

[00:46:28] Also, I have to wonder if Dabi and Chizuki

[00:46:32] recognized each other at all in that first meeting and just didn't say anything,

[00:46:36] or if it was one but not the other.

[00:46:38] It's possible.

[00:46:39] Oh, that's interesting.

[00:46:41] Because you know neither of them would admit it either way.

[00:46:44] Oh, yeah. They were like, oh, I know you.

[00:46:46] No, I don't. Shut up.

[00:46:48] Well, also Dabi is slightly burnt.

[00:46:51] Yeah, he does look a little different.

[00:46:53] He looks a little different.

[00:46:54] He was also burnt at the at the orphanage, though.

[00:46:56] So he kind of had the beginnings of the same scarification.

[00:47:00] Who even knows?

[00:47:02] I just need to know because Horikoshi hasn't sent over his chart.

[00:47:06] Horikoshi, the chart.

[00:47:08] Please, sir. I'm dying.

[00:47:10] OK. Also, I wonder if the Yakuza boss was like somehow involved with the orphanage

[00:47:17] and therefore Chizuki never really became aware of that.

[00:47:20] Or does he think the Yakuza boss saved him from the orphanage

[00:47:24] because he was there possibly so close to when the orphanage ended?

[00:47:30] Also, just realizing this now, if Dabi or Toya burned down the orphanage,

[00:47:35] I wonder if Chizuki had to reassemble himself to get away from the fire.

[00:47:40] Because I'm pretty sure he burned down without getting everybody out first

[00:47:44] because he was all mad.

[00:47:46] Yeah, it's really unclear as to the timeline of like who was where when.

[00:47:52] Yes, because Horikoshi needs to send me his chart.

[00:47:56] I know he knows.

[00:47:57] I know he wouldn't leave all these threads just fluttering in the wind.

[00:48:00] That's not his deal.

[00:48:01] Every time we record, his ears are just burning.

[00:48:04] That's probably why he takes so many breaks.

[00:48:06] He's like something's wrong with my ears.

[00:48:08] I need to go to the doctor.

[00:48:09] And it's just us obsessing over him.

[00:48:13] It's just us getting our revenge through the astral plane.

[00:48:17] All right. Final point, maybe.

[00:48:20] Presuming that the Yakuza boss was there shortly after the orphanage's

[00:48:23] destruction, going along that route of headcanon.

[00:48:28] It makes me wonder if like,

[00:48:30] basically, it makes me wonder what he thought about his own kid's quirk

[00:48:34] before it was passed down to Aerie and like mutated along the way.

[00:48:38] Like if he if he kind of knew what was going on at the orphanage

[00:48:41] with the quirks being taken and copied and passed back and forth,

[00:48:44] blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[00:48:45] I wonder if he had any puzzle pieces to put together

[00:48:49] when his kid had Aerie and hers mutated like what what was he thinking?

[00:48:55] I need him to wake up from his coma

[00:48:58] because there's just so much possible connection

[00:49:02] in this possible headcanon slash canon family tree.

[00:49:06] And the galaxy brain I'm having is delicious.

[00:49:09] And it was delicious at the time I was doing these notes.

[00:49:11] But now my head hurts and the headache and it hurts.

[00:49:14] And all these all these arm movements I'm doing are not helping.

[00:49:18] Or crochet.

[00:49:21] Oh, man. Yeah, that's a good question.

[00:49:23] I would assume he didn't know the full story of the orphanage.

[00:49:27] I don't know. He just seems like the kind of guy that was like

[00:49:29] they're experimenting on kids.

[00:49:31] OK, cool. Time for a Molotov cocktail.

[00:49:33] Yes, that's what I want to assume, too.

[00:49:36] But also, did he like get there too late?

[00:49:39] Did he find it out after Toyo destroyed it?

[00:49:41] And when he got there, sweet little dumb baby Chizuki

[00:49:44] was the only but was the only person left there.

[00:49:46] I made the timeline for a crochet.

[00:49:48] You can't just give me partial lore drops.

[00:49:51] You need to give me all the lore.

[00:49:53] I have a headache. You owe me.

[00:49:56] OK, and my only final comment at all is that I am not sorry

[00:50:00] that I just babbled so much.

[00:50:02] Y'all know what what I'm about after listening to all the catch

[00:50:06] the fuck up episodes.

[00:50:07] Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Yeah, no, we're not sorry at all.

[00:50:10] We had thoughts.

[00:50:11] This was a good episode for making connections, I think.

[00:50:15] Like a lot of different themes came together in this one.

[00:50:19] Yes, yes.

[00:50:20] So many threads, all the connections.

[00:50:23] I am sweating in my elbow pits because I keep moving all my arms.

[00:50:28] I broke my arms.

[00:50:29] All your arms.

[00:50:30] You need to nap or a shower or both.

[00:50:32] Oh, no, I need more arms, apparently.

[00:50:38] Horikoshi has us all stressing.

[00:50:41] Yeah.

[00:50:42] Yeah, Horikoshi, could you stop?

[00:50:44] Our lives are stressful enough.

[00:50:46] But also also don't stop until the ad till after the story is done,

[00:50:51] because I personally would die.

[00:50:54] Oh, yes. Yes. Correct.

[00:50:56] I feel like I feel like he's written like the end of it

[00:50:58] and they're just like drawing it all out.

[00:51:00] I feel like, oh, yeah, they're milking this cash cow

[00:51:03] for as long as they possibly can.

[00:51:05] Yes. But like, don't just make sure your will is updated

[00:51:10] with the plot, Horikoshi.

[00:51:13] Just I need to know.

[00:51:17] His will just says, when I die, send Nicole all my files.

[00:51:22] Yes, yes.

[00:51:23] When I die, here is the folder with all my intellectual property.

[00:51:28] Make sure it's animated or this random person in America

[00:51:31] will haunt me reverse style.

[00:51:34] I'm dead, but she's going to haunt me from the living.

[00:51:37] Yep. Yep.

[00:51:38] My thought was he would probably be like, haha,

[00:51:41] and they all lived happily.

[00:51:42] And that's it. Nothing, nothing past that.

[00:51:46] How dare he?

[00:51:47] But also if they all lived happily ever after,

[00:51:49] we can assume that Izuku and Katsuki got married.

[00:51:56] We're going to assume that no matter what.

[00:51:58] Yeah, yeah.

[00:52:00] But also it'd be nice if it was canon, like on the page.

[00:52:04] I'm not holding my breath.

[00:52:06] It would still be nice. I'm not either.

[00:52:08] I'm just saying it would be. It would be nice.

[00:52:10] I mean, we got bisexual Buck in 9-1-1, who is essentially like Dean's successor

[00:52:17] in the fandom spheres, at least on the TikToks that I'm a part of.

[00:52:21] So maybe I have no idea who that is.

[00:52:24] How dare you? Good for Buck.

[00:52:29] How dare you not be caught up on the drama

[00:52:32] on this one random formerly Fox now ABC show.

[00:52:36] Yeah. And CW and Misha confirmed that if CW hadn't had its anti

[00:52:43] homosexual propaganda thing,

[00:52:47] Dean and Castiel would totally be going at it all the time.

[00:52:52] Yeah, that sounds like something Misha Collins would say.

[00:52:54] Yep. I believe that he's he's quoted as saying they would be

[00:52:58] balls deep in each other. Like that quote from a panel.

[00:53:02] I love it. I love it.

[00:53:04] Oh, Lord. This has gone off the rails.

[00:53:07] It's fine. It's fine.

[00:53:08] And this is what they tune in for the chaos at the end of the episodes.

[00:53:13] And penises and penises.

[00:53:17] All right. Well, this has been my hero analysis and extra material.

[00:53:22] You'll hear us again soon.

[00:53:24] And in the meantime, go beyond plus ultra and first responsibly.

[00:53:28] Bye, y'all. Penis. Penis.

[00:53:32] Thanks again for listening.
