[00:00:05] And I am probably going to cry at some point during this recording because today we're looking at

[00:00:12] My Hero Academia Chapter 422, Isucumedoria Rising. I'm not crying, you're crying.

[00:00:20] We're all crying and he's finally rising. He's doing all the things, things are happening.

[00:00:28] So much. I can't feel my arms or my legs. Oh my God, my whole body is just numb from excitement.

[00:00:38] I've been waiting obviously for today for the new chapter but also because the one leak I did manage

[00:00:46] to see and not quickly scroll past was the title of the chapter so this whole time I'm like

[00:00:52] God. Fern is going to die, Fern is going to die. I don't know how you managed to keep a

[00:00:58] lid on that. I don't know how you managed to survive the week. I don't know either. I did so many

[00:01:04] little tasks around the house this morning just multiply that by a million since what it

[00:01:12] like Thursday morning whatever it was. Oh my God that is so wild.

[00:01:17] All right, well do we want to get to it? We can get right into it. All right so we do pick up

[00:01:27] right where we left off which was Aoyama taking Iizuku's hand and they're just plunging forward

[00:01:34] into the fight because Iizuku still has something left of one for all to use and he

[00:01:40] needs he's going to get to sugar rocky. I love that like Aoyama is like take my hand

[00:01:45] and then he just goes yeet. Yeet, yes indeed. He took Iizuku's hand they ran for a little bit

[00:01:51] they got a little momentum and then he yeets Iizuku forward as an attack comes for the both of them

[00:01:57] and Aoyama is able to get him out of the way and like defend and he's a good boy.

[00:02:03] Oh my God also I just watched the newest episode today which was watching it later.

[00:02:09] It's really good it's episode 7.2 and obviously this season is covering

[00:02:14] the traitor arc and I'm like oh oh the babies oh so many feelings. Oh my God.

[00:02:20] Okay so also I do want to point out really quick after we recorded last time we I literally had

[00:02:27] to go through the roster of class 1A to figure out who was there and who wasn't. So we figured

[00:02:32] it out that the only students who weren't shown in the last chapter was Uraraka and Bakugo

[00:02:40] and Tokoyami who we figured weren't going to be there because they're very injured and then the other

[00:02:46] person was Iida like we didn't see Iida and that does come back indeed. Yes it does. Oh I'm already

[00:02:56] like wiggling. Oh my boys okay so little downer before we get there as this is happening Iizawa

[00:03:04] is kind of left at that same spot like Iizuku and Aoyama plunge forward and Iizawa remains behind

[00:03:11] and he turns and to say something to Kurakumo who he calls Shurikumo because my heart hurts

[00:03:21] and as he is calling to him he realizes that Kurakumo like his cloud face head it's like

[00:03:30] dripping away. Yeah it's very interesting I'm not sure entirely what that's meant to give me

[00:03:36] like is it exhaustion he better not be dying. I was like yeah it's like either exhaustion or the

[00:03:43] the kurogeiri part is finally falling away and the and who the reanimated corpse that is

[00:03:50] Shurikumo because that's what he is he's a nobu um is gonna be is becoming visible

[00:03:55] or he's hurt and exhausted it's not clear and Iizawa's face hurts me so we're going to move forward.

[00:04:02] There is so much unnamed emotion in that one panel it's oh I don't even know what to say. He's so amazing

[00:04:09] and so hot and the artist did such a good job. Uh-huh. All right so Iizuku plunges forward into

[00:04:16] the fray all the heroes are fighting AFO is letting off a bunch of attacks and a bunch of quirks

[00:04:20] um so you we see a bunch of the heroes that are there uh we see snipe is there he's using his gun

[00:04:30] trying to shoot um and also with him is Vlad King and uh the shiketsu kids Kami's there and

[00:04:40] she's like man he's not falling for my rage bait anymore and I'm just like I need more

[00:04:45] of those illusions right now I want to see um what you got but we don't see that so much

[00:04:52] she is hilarious she's amazing and then Iizawa gets back on his um headpiece to give an order

[00:04:59] and he basically orders everyone to carve a path for Iizuku straight to Shigaraki and they're

[00:05:06] like okay we can do that um Samantha is there and some other lady is there I don't recognize her

[00:05:14] immediately it might be 13 it might be someone else I don't know there's a lot happening yeah yeah

[00:05:19] I love that oh I'm not Iizuku I saw was like wait wait wait no no no change strategy change

[00:05:25] strategy we're not going to attack him all at once anymore we're gonna we have to get Iizuku back

[00:05:31] to Shigaraki and AFO because even he knows even even though Iizuku is like down quark wise he

[00:05:39] knows Iizuku is the one who's going to be able to like win you know he needs to get there yeah at

[00:05:45] this point he's probably the only one who can reach Shigaraki because right now in this particular

[00:05:49] battlefield he's the only one there that like understands him that well yep he needs to get

[00:05:55] there he needs to save the Tenko Shiggy parts out of the AFO body meld and it's gross but

[00:06:02] like Iizawa knows what's going on I also wonder if Iizawa um like he says to carve a path to Shigaraki

[00:06:10] and Kurakumo is with him so I wonder if he's gonna try and get Kurakumo forward like our theory

[00:06:16] yeah Kurakumo is gonna help get through to Shiggy yeah like her O'Giri is gonna get um you know

[00:06:23] try to pump up Shiggy and then yeah Iizawa is gonna like pump up Iizuku yeah yeah and it's

[00:06:29] gonna be great and wonderful and we will we will see if that does in fact pan out but in the meantime

[00:06:36] AFO he does a little monologue of course and he's like he talks about his omnifactor unleashing

[00:06:44] and it's basically he's just gathering all his quirks together and all the power together to

[00:06:49] do a very large blast attack and it um he basically is claiming that it's not coming

[00:06:56] out of my emotions I am in control of everything but no yeah basically it's just like a all of the

[00:07:03] quirks he has are just amassed into one like mega attack yeah and he he's claiming that he has absolute

[00:07:10] power and absolute control and I feel like he's protesting a little too much yeah yeah yeah exactly

[00:07:16] yeah he's fronten yeah he's certainly fronten still he unleashes the attack and it comes

[00:07:21] out as a laser which as we know bitch s queen boss babe Hagakurei she just says phew and she's

[00:07:31] like nope she just she just turns it away she's like nope bitch I win god I love the way her quirk

[00:07:41] has evolved over time it's so amazing like Horiko she went from oh ha ha ha shonen nonsense

[00:07:48] it's a naked girl because she's invisible to like actually she can control light it's like actually

[00:07:54] fuck you you pervert weebs bitch okay so with that uh Hagakurei just bends the laser away and

[00:08:03] izuku he's excited he's like oh my god it's you and yeah he's like I got great like yeah this is

[00:08:10] my thing bye uh then as izuku does keep running he goes to the path we have uh Momo and Denki

[00:08:19] have are still teamed up they're still together and Momo has created an electromagnetic rail gun

[00:08:26] I love her and her cannons and her guns and her trebuchets she she loves a projectile she really

[00:08:35] she loves her big guns and this this particular big gun is being fueled by sweet baby Denki who

[00:08:42] is still kind of out of it but he's like yay and they attack together oh god I love whenever

[00:08:49] they team up it's it's amazing it's amazing so that gun basically I think it's just lasting

[00:08:56] AFO with a bunch of like EMP type attacks I think so yeah um and then it may hit him or he may be able

[00:09:05] to defend against it but it does like get to him so AFO then unleashes another attack a more widespread

[00:09:12] attack and sweet izuku he's like leave him alone I know oh my god obviously he doesn't say it like

[00:09:19] that but I also I'm pretty sure that's what he said in like the very first chapter before um

[00:09:25] Hatsuki and his little baby cronies beat him up he was like leave him alone

[00:09:31] yeah yeah with this little baby guy yes yeah he's still the same izuku underneath it all I love that

[00:09:37] yep underneath it all so with that um even as he says that and even as he's trying to defend him

[00:09:43] a bunch of the other students come in to take the attack for him and basically keep clearing

[00:09:49] that path and that includes um Sato, Kota, Mashiro is in there at a bunch of the 1b students and

[00:09:57] Saro is also in there they're all doing amazing it's gonna look so cool animated oh my god I can't

[00:10:04] wait for them all right and then with that we have Ojiro and Sato come in and they have their

[00:10:10] little um their little speech because everybody's gonna say something everyone everyone is involved

[00:10:15] everyone is fighting and and they're so sweet they're like they both know that he's down but it is

[00:10:22] only izuku's particular strength that can win this so they're like we're going to take this for you

[00:10:27] you keep going this is our plan oh god reciprocity oh my god oh my god all the babies they're

[00:10:36] doing so good they're doing so good all right and then with that as they tell him to keep going

[00:10:42] izuku is grabbed by Frappi and Shoji and they're like yes we're going to keep going

[00:10:49] and I think they're on Shiozaki's vines if i'm not mistaken yep they might be um it's again

[00:10:55] it's hard to tell because the panels are so small it's gonna be amazing animated all right and then

[00:11:00] with that we could do a quick jump back to everyone watching we get a shot of Frappi's family

[00:11:06] amazing um and they're like oh my god is Frappi yes yes queen and then they cheer for her and then

[00:11:13] we jump to the girl that Shoji saved back in her village that caused him to be basically banished

[00:11:22] and she's like yes you can do it Shoji so it's like everyone is here everyone is tearing them on

[00:11:28] they're going oh my god everyone's backstories are coming full circle the Horikoshi I hate you

[00:11:34] so much and I really quick I think that Frappi's family I don't think we've seen them in like a

[00:11:42] regular chapter I think we only saw them in a bonus chapter so Horikoshi's really yeah he's pulling

[00:11:48] everyone in you really really is yeah all right and then with that Shoji and Sue they're like we

[00:11:55] can't we can't dodge these attacks like you can so we're gonna keep getting you for we're gonna

[00:12:00] keep essentially we're just gonna keep yeeting you towards yes yes he just gets yeeted over and over

[00:12:06] and over oh god absolutely incredible and of course Izukupasus to say thank you yes of course

[00:12:13] yes to say thank you to his friends and then as he lands after that yeet a giant's arm

[00:12:19] comes down to attack him but it is stopped of course by Kirishima himself yes sir

[00:12:27] and Mina and Mina is there and it looks like another hero or student is there too I can't really see

[00:12:34] them I think it's fat gum but might be fat gum yeah fat gum yeah I could see that as a hoodie

[00:12:41] yeah the hoodie and the little mask definitely but I could also be wrong yeah so we will see again

[00:12:46] later um and then we do a quick shot back to Adreaux friends from middle school remember them

[00:12:53] they're watching and they're like hey it's a and Mina they're doing great and they keep going

[00:12:58] Izuku keeps going oh my god okay all right then we go to AFO and he's like why are all these corpses

[00:13:08] not just laying down and it's just like bitch yeah yeah yeah yeah oh god he's so fucking stupid

[00:13:14] he's so stupid he's his evil is so banal again he's just he just can't get it through his thick

[00:13:21] skull that this is all goodness come together to win the fight and they're not gonna just lay down

[00:13:28] okay dumb ass dumb ass and then with that we do see that Jiro is with present Mike and they're

[00:13:34] doing their thing we see Mineta um he's got a bandage over one eye I kind of hope he loses it

[00:13:40] just because he's a bitch but he's still trying to fight he's still doing he's still doing his

[00:13:46] part um and then AFO he's basically like why are none of them laying down and dying with this

[00:13:52] there must be something going on and he comes to this conclusion that it is like Izuku Midoriya

[00:13:59] like he's the reason everyone is up everyone is still attacking because of him and he's basically

[00:14:07] he says Midoriya it's your weakness so yes exactly oh my god it's his weakness really that all these

[00:14:20] people are working together and they're all coming together to defeat this greater evil I'm like

[00:14:24] that's not a weakness my guy well no what he means is that like because Izuku isn't this like

[00:14:30] perfect paragon like all night was he encourages other people to do their part like his weakness

[00:14:38] becomes everyone's strength yeah yeah exactly yours you say things so much smarter than me

[00:14:45] okay no you do it's okay I'm just excited and I can't form words I still can't feel my legs

[00:14:51] by the way I know right I'm like shivering yep all right so with that Izuku keeps running

[00:14:58] he keeps dodging attacks gentle is there he he defers an attack away and he's like keep going

[00:15:05] and then Izuku does keep running he runs past um power loader and he's like you got this you

[00:15:11] can keep it's like everyone is cheering for him it's amazing yeah all right and then um

[00:15:18] AFO essentially keeps talking and he claims that like Midoriya's weak feeble strength is

[00:15:24] something that omite never had so basically he's admitting that Izuku has something that is going

[00:15:30] to be more effective than omites essentially but also in the middle of that we see where Tokoyami is

[00:15:37] he's awake he's awake he's okay he's it looks like he's back at the

[00:15:44] battlefield where he took down that part of AFO with the giant um dark shadow yeah is that a hawks

[00:15:52] like leaning on him it might be and then there's also somebody like standing over them probably just

[00:15:59] checking on them getting them ready for triage but Tokoyami he he also says do your best because he

[00:16:04] knows Izuku is still going he knows they're all together they're all they're all on the same page

[00:16:10] all right and then at the turn the page and I feel like this is where Fern lost it

[00:16:16] I was very very happy to see him yes so you turn the page and as AFO continues his

[00:16:25] stupid monologue realizing where this strength is coming from we see that Iida is in fact

[00:16:31] on the battlefield he did make it through the portal we just didn't see him last chapter

[00:16:36] he is there and he takes Izuku's arm and they run together and they are best friends

[00:16:42] oh oh they're so cute they're so cute I love them oh they're the best all right and then um

[00:16:50] let me read this again um and AFO again he's essentially realizing how important Izuku is

[00:16:56] to it and he realizes that his particular brand of community it'll fall apart if Izuku is not

[00:17:04] there so I feel like he's like now officially changed his target to killing eliminating

[00:17:10] Izuku himself not just like the quirk yeah he's finally figured out that Izuku himself

[00:17:17] is the key player in all this and not just one for all yep exactly and then as the page continues

[00:17:24] there is a very quick panel of AFO noticing something and being surprised by something

[00:17:30] he's like huh yeah exactly but we we actually do a very quick switch over to All Might where he

[00:17:38] was left on that roof to kind of get out of the way while Bakugo took down the baby and punted

[00:17:44] the baby remember that it feels like it was five years ago but it was like I know it feels like

[00:17:49] a million years ago when we were screaming at Konseki to punt the baby punt the baby all right

[00:17:55] and it looks like the folks who are with All Might now are the soldiers who were basically

[00:18:02] on Star and Stripes team from America and they stuck around so it looks like they're helping

[00:18:07] All Might like getting him getting him back on his feet I don't see Ed shot but that doesn't mean

[00:18:13] anything he's kind of a worm at this point he might even be being held by the one guy in the

[00:18:17] background oh yeah I bet that's him yeah I feel like that's him he's a little worm and he's

[00:18:23] I'm sure he's fine he's not allowed to die no not allowed at all I'm still here for all the

[00:18:29] would you still love me if I was a worm jokes yes those will never die no no Ed shot has

[00:18:34] immortalized them all right so then with that essentially All Might and the soldiers are talking

[00:18:41] and like they're just getting everything out in the open and All Might he's finally kind of

[00:18:48] realized that we should keep our losses to a minimum yeah yeah apparently he did something

[00:18:53] to their ejector seats in the um the planes so that like they were like oh we thought

[00:18:58] the ejector seats were disabled that way we couldn't like abandon the mission and

[00:19:03] All Might was like hey nope sorry he's like hey I'm going to actually make sure we don't all

[00:19:10] throw ourselves on our own swords during this war like I used to do yes sir all right and he

[00:19:17] he just continues talking about Midoriya and how he's the best and how all of this is because of him

[00:19:22] again yeah also I love the guy that's like uh coming from you that's that's rich yeah he's like

[00:19:27] okay sure he's like you bitch you and star y'all need to sit down yeah yeah he finally learned his

[00:19:35] lesson yep and then with that we get a quick shot out to some other characters who are rooting for them

[00:19:41] we see Melissa sweet baby and then we also see Rody and the two little soul siblings also rooting

[00:19:48] for him I really wanted to see also oh wait it's Eris at the siblings from um heroes rising

[00:19:57] no because the ponytail and the bowl cut specifically are oh yeah yeah you're right you're right so we

[00:20:04] don't actually see those two kids from the heroes rising um interesting that they got left out

[00:20:10] interesting very interesting I wonder if they're just gonna pop up in another one or like a future

[00:20:16] chapter because they're important too they are and there's the uh there's a plot point in that

[00:20:23] movie that is significant it was very significant plot point and I wonder if they're gonna come back in

[00:20:28] when Mr. Boom Boy comes back in because that's what I'm wondering yeah that would be that would

[00:20:34] be very thematic that would be Horako she'd be like suck it yes can end we haven't gotten there

[00:20:41] quite yet with this chapter it's still possibly coming yes yes we'll see we'll see we'll see so

[00:20:47] with that um Ida's engines do finally give out again and he he yeets Izuku forward

[00:20:56] as as he says as he talked about like their first day at school is like they're all friends

[00:21:01] they're all together everything is circular okay and then he's I believe Ida is actually talking

[00:21:09] about what Uraka says about the Deku nickname yes where she said it sounds like I can do it

[00:21:16] right and with that we do get a quick jump to where Uraka is she is she is in a medevac helicopter

[00:21:25] going to a hospital and she has um I think it's Pixie Bob with her the earth bender cat yes yeah

[00:21:34] so they're together and she's like keeping Uraka a prize because Uraka is now awake

[00:21:41] mm she's still alive where is Toga where is Toga we literally don't know what Toga is

[00:21:48] I wonder if it was that person standing over Tokoyami and Hawks but we don't know we literally

[00:21:54] don't know where she is all right yeah yeah so Ida and Uraka are there and they're cheering him on

[00:22:01] and Izuku keeps going and then we get a quick shot of Shoto also screaming because he's still

[00:22:08] up on his feet it's not clear how much fight he has left in him it's not clear how much he got

[00:22:13] healed before being brought to this part of the fight he's still he's still like on his feet

[00:22:19] cheering for his boyfriend yes yes he is and then we get a quick shot to the president of the

[00:22:26] United States huh of course huh and he's finally uh grown some uh kahones um god and he

[00:22:36] finally gives the order to send all available heroes to Japan to back up this giant fight and

[00:22:44] one of his counselors is like what about national security and the president's like no

[00:22:50] this is our national security we have to help them defeat the giant evil guy yeah because then

[00:22:55] the giant evil guy is coming for us next yes exactly finally yes I want this president in

[00:23:01] our White House now but that's another anyway we're fine we're fine we're fine horror

[00:23:09] koshi's um horror koshi's lessons aren't aren't just crushing us no not at all

[00:23:18] all right and then we go back to I'm thinking it's all might he's still talking he he can

[00:23:23] hear everyone cheering for Izuku yeah or I hear them all calling to me that might be Izuku

[00:23:30] yep it might be Izuku too it's again it's not clear because there's no like little speech bubble

[00:23:35] yeah all right and then you turn to the next page and again we get a bunch of shots of all the

[00:23:41] basically little side extra characters who've been through the whole thing and they're still

[00:23:46] watching there's Tuka Uchi there's the full metal alchemist easter egg brothers

[00:23:54] there's there's the shirtless guy now that he gave Izuku his shirt there's Gran Torino

[00:23:58] there's Tiger he's still on his feet he's there hi tiger hi tiger you're awesome um there's airy

[00:24:06] there's the fairy tale easter egg guy who was endeavor's biggest fan he and all his crew are

[00:24:12] watching um and then there's a quick shot of a few folks sitting down and standing up I can't

[00:24:19] tell who they are I'm sure they're important um and then Kota is there and then we get a few

[00:24:25] other shots of some other extra and side characters we do also see the newscaster guy yeah he's back

[00:24:32] in it he's there everybody is watching and then we we go back to all night and he says that Izuku

[00:24:41] has always been his greatest hero yes sir oh and then finally we see Inko Midoriya also cheering

[00:24:51] her son along oh my god oh my god the significance of this because like you know she says mom her job

[00:24:58] as a parent is to keep him safe which has necessarily you know she and Izuku have had that miscommunication

[00:25:05] where he feels like she's doubting him all the time or underestimating him and she's like no I just

[00:25:09] literally don't want you to come home with a million broken bones every day right um but

[00:25:14] the fact that she's she's now cheering him on and saying do your best I just oh again we're

[00:25:20] full circle we're for we're full circle full circle and like everything I feel like that is

[00:25:25] literally everything all the threads are now finally being bound together and then you turn the

[00:25:31] page to the last page which is where you get the chapter number and the chapter title Izuku

[00:25:35] Midoriya rising yes sir yes king yes and it looks like oh sorry no you're and the chapter ends

[00:25:44] with Izuku reaching AFO and punching him in the chest and that's where the chapter ends

[00:25:49] like he's literally reaching towards his heart yep yep and and that's where the chapter ends

[00:25:56] oh my god okay and I was able to refresh the app and the new chapter is coming out in seven days

[00:26:03] oh thank you thank all deities thank god I hope the rest of the chapters do release weekly but

[00:26:12] we've been saying that for like three fucking years because we keep thinking it's ending and then it's

[00:26:16] not ending yeah oh my god okay all right and again we just said most of the threads are now

[00:26:24] altogether everything's been brought back full circle the only person that's now missing honestly

[00:26:31] is Katsuki we didn't see he we didn't see his update just like we didn't see the kids from

[00:26:36] here arising we also haven't seen spinner but I feel like he made just it's like if spinner's

[00:26:42] going to come back into it it's going to be with toga and toya maybe yeah we really haven't seen

[00:26:47] the resolution for any of the league of villains I think yeah and I feel like they're all makes me

[00:26:53] hopeful that they're all gonna stay alive yeah and I feel like Horakoshi is essentially leaving

[00:26:58] if this is how he's doing it he's leaving it open for them all to come together to be

[00:27:04] with Shiggy against AFO they're like oh they're like oh they're all gonna come together and just

[00:27:12] like just like we've been saying that Kurukumo is going to come for Shiggy I feel like they're

[00:27:17] all somehow going to come yeah the league of villains is gonna because again Izuku and Shiggy

[00:27:22] are foils so Izuku has his support system and Shiggy has his exactly yes I feel like that could

[00:27:29] definitely happen I feel like there's room for that to happen and of course that would be fully

[00:27:33] in line with Horakoshi's whole thing yep and I want to know where my boom boy is yes just

[00:27:39] because he's my boy but also Izuku is doing so good he's kicking ass everyone is together it's

[00:27:46] beautiful and AFO get hunted yes yes I hope AFO gets punted again yes hunt his little zombie ass

[00:27:58] out of Shiguraki's body just yes punt the zombie hunt the zombie he's a vampire yes punt the vampire

[00:28:07] punt the vampire out of him and then stake him through the heart with a nice Japanese tree branch

[00:28:13] I don't know just get the vampire out of him but yeah I I would yeah Kaseki still needs to come back

[00:28:22] yes 100% he is he is the other protagonist with with Izuku so I feel like he has to come back before

[00:28:30] and then working together like together together is essential because we still really haven't gotten

[00:28:36] that in the um regular manga exactly yes they haven't had the really the chance to fight together

[00:28:43] in this final fight because they keep Izuku he's late and then Katsuki is dead and then they

[00:28:48] get separated and then he's alive again but they're still separated the only time they really fought

[00:28:52] together was when they took each other's hand and yeeted each other into the fight much like

[00:28:57] they're doing now but he still needs to come back for the yes exactly oh and everything from the

[00:29:03] movies is also coming in and I keep forgetting that we're getting another movie and oh my god

[00:29:08] how are they gonna tie that how are they gonna tie that into this

[00:29:12] ha hmm so many things also for the folks who are keeping up with the new season as it's coming out

[00:29:19] I checked my tv tracker app that I use basically to write down all the dates and right now in my

[00:29:27] planner because I'm a planner um right now the tv tracker app only has 12 episodes listed for

[00:29:35] season seven which is pretty usual because there's usually like a mid-season break yeah

[00:29:41] I was gonna say they're probably gonna do a mid-season break and then another 12

[00:29:45] right and it would it would make sense because I think it ends in July and then the movies in

[00:29:51] August and then it would start again um yeah yeah but also they are like speeding through the arcs

[00:29:58] for season seven um I won't say what exactly happens in the second episode um because it's

[00:30:05] only been like 24 hours um and friend also hasn't seen it but like they are speeding through

[00:30:11] the arcs so I I'm just like how thinking of the three arcs I think of the three arcs that they've

[00:30:17] stated are going to be all of season seven I feel like there's room for them all to be fit in the

[00:30:24] first arc of season seven so like I wonder if they're they are gonna spread them all out for
