[00:03:41] And he wants to take over the world.

[00:03:43] It's an anime movie.
[00:03:45] He's kidnapping people off the street.
[00:03:48] His giant ship thing is about to destroy UA.
[00:03:51] The kids got to fight him and his crime family cronies.
[00:03:54] That part is pretty straightforward.

[00:03:57] He's got a big flying ship and there's dream realities somehow that also aren't quite properly

[00:05:08] So it's kind of like those, uh, boosting bullets that we've seen in previous seasons,
[00:05:13] except quite a bit stronger.
[00:05:15] However, there are flowers.
[00:05:18] Yes.
[00:05:18] There are flowers involved.
[00:05:19] It's very pretty.
[00:05:20] It's very confusing.

[00:05:22] You know, it's just, it's the aesthetic.

[00:06:07] Um, also it's at the start of the B plot where we don't, he's only in it for like a second,

[00:06:20] Um, but he, he defected and he tried to like re kidnap Anna for himself.
[00:06:26] And that's what got the one A kids involved.
[00:06:28] Um, and basically this character is my hero academia slash Horikoshi's like direct answer
[00:06:36] to Sukuna from Jujutsu Kaisen.

[00:09:22] And since the vast majority of people aren't compatible, she can never touch anyone.
[00:09:27] Kind of like Rogue from, uh, the Marvel property.

[00:10:06] Finally, her rich dad finds Julio and he's like her butler slash bodyguard.
[00:10:14] And his quirk is nullifying other people's quirks.
[00:10:19] How coincidental.
[00:10:20] Gee.
[00:10:23] Very similar to another bullet that has come up in recent seasons.
[00:10:28] It's almost like they ran out of ideas, but also they did it very shooju.

[00:10:34] I mean, honestly, let's be real y'all.
[00:10:36] This movie is just a cash grab.

[00:11:03] Well, actually not even then because he uses the glove.

[00:11:09] Um, we don't we don't get many details about Ana's actual quirk and that still is.

[00:11:18] And it's a little infuriating.

[00:11:22] It's just gonna make all the fan content that much better.

[00:11:39] But Dark Might's crime family learns about Ana.
[00:11:42] So they basically attack the mansion where she's living, uh, kill her family, kidnap her, burn the house down.
[00:11:51] Julio survives, but he loses his right arm and I think at least one other limb.

[00:11:57] Yeah, he loses his right arm, his right eye and his left part of his left leg.

[00:12:04] Um, all of those body parts get replaced by, um, wow, my brain really isn't working today.

[00:12:11] He gets amazing support gear as his prosthetic devices.
[00:12:15] Yes.
[00:12:16] He's basically a cyborg and it's cool as shit.
[00:12:18] And it's, um, yes, but because he lost his right arm, which is the one he uses to channel his quirk, he's functionally quirkless.
[00:12:27] Although his robot arm is very, very cool and he can do a lot of stuff with it.
[00:12:31] Yes, it's, it's very sexy.
[00:12:33] Um, also if it wasn't immediately obvious to our listeners, Julio is in love with Ana and also vice versa.

[00:12:44] They are so hot for each other.
[00:12:46] They love each other so much, but they can't do anything about it because he works for her and she like depends on him for disability medical services.
[00:12:58] And there's like a bunch of other disability metaphors with his prostheses.
[00:13:02] And that part is honestly pretty well done.
[00:13:06] And yeah, that part's pretty cool.

[00:13:26] So Julio reveals to Izuku that Ana's quirk grows out of control when overused.
[00:13:33] And again, she is an amplifier.
[00:13:36] So when her quirk is overused, she'll eventually lose control and start amplifying another person's quirk indefinitely.
[00:13:44] So basically it's another quirk singularity bullshit thing.
[00:13:49] But yeah, it's super, super freaking dangerous could end the world.
[00:13:52] Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
[00:13:53] I thought it was going to go in the direction of Izuku, like usurping the main villains attempt to achieve the quirk singularity before it is like wiped out by her unconsciousness.

[00:14:12] No, the one they went with is pretty cute though.

[00:15:05] So Ana made Julio promise to her that if her quirk ever got out of control, he should kill her.

[00:15:56] Basically, the whole thing is that class 1A is trying to get the civilians out and defeat Dark Might while trying to rescue Ana.

[00:16:09] It's like a video game with levels.

[00:16:11] And the ship is trying to get to UA so he can get to All Might or destroy the ship.
[00:16:17] And then the pro heroes show up and there's shenanigans with them.

[00:16:24] Mirio is there.
[00:16:25] Yes, he is doing a great job.
[00:16:27] Because he's the only one who can actually get into the ship, which is itself.
[00:16:31] It's kind of a genius move.

[00:16:36] Endeavor's being a bitch.
[00:16:38] He was honestly weak.

[00:16:49] And before we get to the final climax of it, I want to talk about how Julio's eye defeats
[00:16:58] Quark.
[00:16:58] So basically, because Julio lost his eye, he replaces it with a prosthesis that is also
[00:17:05] like cybernetically connected into his brain.
[00:17:08] Mm-hmm.
[00:17:09] So it's completely robotic, but he can see through it.
[00:17:13] And so when Deborah, who is another member of the crime family, hot.
[00:17:17] Mm-hmm.
[00:17:18] Oh, she's so hot.
[00:17:19] We'll get to that.
[00:17:20] We'll get to that.
[00:17:21] Her quark is basically daydream, which we will also get to.
[00:17:26] But using his prosthetic eye, he can break himself out of the quark.
[00:17:31] So it's like a support item is trumping a quark, even one that has been over modified
[00:17:37] and essentially boosted.
[00:17:39] So, ha!
[00:17:40] Mm-hmm.

[00:17:41] But at this point, he's like trying to escape the dream again.
[00:17:46] And he does this by basically using his eye to reprogram his foot, which yeets him away
[00:17:54] from the bad guys, and he's able to like actually get to Anna and like help in that final moment.
[00:18:02] I just, I love when like prosthetics are used and like disabilities become the source of strength.
[00:18:09] And also we've covered this and like this trope and how it's kind of two-sided when it comes to disability support activists' opinions
[00:18:17] and what it actually does for the community in an episode way back when.
[00:18:21] I don't even know what it was, but it is nice that it was, it's like carried forward into this like cash grab movie.

[00:19:14] But she chooses to stay with Julio because they're in love.
[00:19:19] And they live happily ever after until all for one rocks everyone's shit up.

[00:19:25] And also there is a very fun climactic battle involving the big three of class A and it was great and it was wonderful and everybody should go see the movie.

[00:19:42] It really made the movie, y'all.

[00:20:11] The first one, production value on this one wasn't as high as movies two and three, but I think we all expected that because the production quality of season seven was absolutely phenomenal.

[00:20:26] I can't even imagine what they'll do with season eight.
