[00:00:00] Hey y'all, this podcast contains cursing, references to alcohol, marijuana and other drugs.

[00:00:06] And thirsty comments about adult characters. Thanks for listening.

[00:00:42] So many people just logged right out of this podcast.

[00:00:46] And a whole bunch of other people just logged right in.

[00:00:50] Yeah, hey y'all, I'm fern and the vibe is weird today.

[00:00:54] I don't know. I'm in like kind of a weird mood but I think that might be a good thing

[00:00:58] because this is definitely a very silly topic so yes yes speaking of silliness

[00:01:05] I'm Nicole and my mind is just I'm trapped in the waiting mode for paper Mario, a thousand year

[00:01:13] door, the remaster that is out in like one week on switch.

[00:01:18] And of course naturally my brain decides to compensate this with creating a Pokemon fan

[00:01:25] fanfic for some cursed yet unknown reason.

[00:01:29] It's somewhere in the miasma of my mental illnesses.

[00:01:33] So yeah, for someone else it was a nice little distraction not going to lie.

[00:01:39] Yeah, hi, it's Maria and when I wrote these notes I said life was kicking me right in the vagina.

[00:01:48] Yeah, I'm going on vacation.

[00:01:52] So it's gonna be a nice little break to get away from everything.

[00:01:57] Yes, very, very much deserved.

[00:02:00] So Maria do you have a recording snack?

[00:02:03] I do. I am still eating pocky sticks and I'm still drinking strawberry lemonade.

[00:02:09] Yes, nice.

[00:02:13] Alright, so yeah for this episode we are doing for sonas.

[00:02:17] Originally this episode was going to be about like which characters have been associated with

[00:02:23] which animals in like manga content, official art stuff like that and then I was going to go into like the history

[00:02:30] and the mythology and the symbolism of each animal.

[00:02:33] But that was far more research than I'm capable of right now.

[00:02:39] Yes, fair.

[00:02:40] Yeah, so today instead we're going to pick for sonas for class 1A and few teachers and then argue about them because that sounded way more fun.

[00:02:49] Also we're using the term for sonas more or less as a replacement for spirit animal which is kind of a complicated term.

[00:02:58] Yeah, we're just, yeah, we're just not going to deal with that.

[00:03:01] We're going to go with for sonas that's funnier.

[00:03:03] Yep, it's it's a loose definition and it's not going to hurt anybody.

[00:03:07] And if you are hurt by our choices, maybe you're too.

[00:03:11] The problem.

[00:03:13] Also 10 seconds before we recorded, I decided we were going to pick our own for sonas.

[00:03:22] So I picked Miracat.

[00:03:24] I picked the shoobill herd and if y'all don't know what the shoobill is, go look it up because that is my natural expression all the time.

[00:03:36] Yeah, and obviously anyone who knows me it's they're going to say the lioness.

[00:03:42] It's just it is what it is.

[00:03:44] Yep, yep, correct.

[00:03:46] We're in actually picked a tattoo for me.

[00:03:49] I'm so good.

[00:03:50] Yeah, I'm Maria Nicole not, not Nicole could lord Maria.

[00:03:56] I wasn't there.

[00:03:57] Yeah, you were not there.

[00:04:00] Maria Catherine and I all picked four letter words for each other to tattoo on ourselves.

[00:04:05] So Maria says roar and mine says eat so if that tells you anything about us.

[00:04:12] It's great. I love it.

[00:04:14] Perfect choices.

[00:04:16] All right, so going into some official animal associations.

[00:04:20] I'm just to get a sense of where Horkochi thinks everyone is at.

[00:04:26] I'm going to start with the seventh popularity poll, which is the winter a you so for this one, Izuku had a ram.

[00:04:33] Potsuki had a wolf.

[00:04:35] Shoto had a snow leopard.

[00:04:37] Hawks had a hawk because he's a hawk.

[00:04:40] Uh huh.

[00:04:41] Kira Shimah had a giant tortoise because he's hard and eat a hat of horse because he's fast.

[00:04:48] And I'm not sorry about all this.

[00:04:50] Yeah, I'm not.

[00:04:52] I want to say specifically a meal because boy is stubborn.

[00:04:56] He is stubborn. He is stubborn.

[00:04:59] Um, yeah, and then she's so got a gray house cat present Mike got an African gray parrot.

[00:05:05] And I feel like specifically that it's the kind that just shrieks curse words all the time.

[00:05:12] That absolutely.

[00:05:14] Um, Izawa got like an orange or a marmalade house cat, which I thought was interesting.

[00:05:19] The hilarious because orange cats are so stupid.

[00:05:22] They are they couldn't be more different.

[00:05:25] And Roti Solgapino, which was a cop out.

[00:05:29] Little bit.

[00:05:30] Little bit.

[00:05:31] Get on it.

[00:05:32] Um, and then there was some art that was released for the Tobu Zoo collab.

[00:05:37] So the art with everyone at the zoo.

[00:05:39] So Izuku got a white tiger and Katsuki got a lion.

[00:05:43] Because they're the same but they're different but they're the same.

[00:05:47] There's a face.

[00:05:49] Shoto got a penguin.

[00:05:51] Yeah, why boy is the king of pebble ink.

[00:05:54] Yep.

[00:05:55] Oh, you would do that. That's really cute.

[00:05:57] Kira Shima got a rhino.

[00:05:59] Oh, Chaco got a red panda.

[00:06:01] Jiro had a snowy owl.

[00:06:03] Common Ari had baby birds of some kind.

[00:06:06] I'm not really sure.

[00:06:08] Um, and Sue had a spotted seal.

[00:06:10] And then apparently at some point,

[00:06:12] um, a company called Potobucia.

[00:06:16] I think um, released like gotcha machine figurines.

[00:06:20] Um, so I went ahead and included that because why not?

[00:06:23] Um, Izuku got a Yorkshire terrier.

[00:06:27] Uh, and it's, it's, it's very funny looking.

[00:06:30] I'm not gonna lie.

[00:06:32] It's a very interesting looking little figure.

[00:06:35] Um, Katsuki got a ringtailed lemur.

[00:06:38] Wait, wait. They made Katsuki for Kanzabumaphil.

[00:06:41] Oh my god.

[00:06:43] Yep.

[00:06:44] I can see it.

[00:06:46] I can see it.

[00:06:47] Oh man, Shoto was a red and white house cat.

[00:06:51] Um, Ochaco was a lop-eared rabbit.

[00:06:54] Um, and a lop-eared just means they have very long ears that hang down.

[00:06:57] I'm Sue got a frog.

[00:06:59] Yet another cop out.

[00:07:00] Me too.

[00:07:01] Come on.

[00:07:02] And all might was a lion.

[00:07:04] Yes.

[00:07:05] Kaker wrong there.

[00:07:06] Yep.

[00:07:07] Yep. So now we're gonna go into our for sonopics

[00:07:10] for each of the class one a kids.

[00:07:13] Um, so for Izuku.

[00:07:15] Actually for a lot of these I ended up agreeing with horror co-shees choices in the winter

[00:07:20] A.U.

[00:07:21] I think he did a really good job there.

[00:07:23] Um, so yeah, for Izuku, I chose Ram and I forgot to pick a species.

[00:07:27] Whoops.

[00:07:28] Um, go.

[00:07:29] But just in general, you know, like very resourceful, thrive in adversity, like rugged terrain

[00:07:35] doesn't bother him, you know, stubborn, intelligent, leads the herd, that kind of thing.

[00:07:41] Yes.

[00:07:42] And also listeners, for him put a lot more thought into these choices than I did personally.

[00:07:47] I just went off vibes and I didn't really explain my choices.

[00:07:52] So I feel like we all put a lot of thought into this but in very different ways.

[00:07:56] Yes.

[00:07:57] Okay.

[00:07:58] So for Izuku seasons one through five he's a bunny.

[00:08:01] A little little fluffy little guy.

[00:08:03] And he slowly becomes a jack rabbit with the big legs and the big ears.

[00:08:07] And then for season six he turned into a demon rabbit and good for him.

[00:08:12] Well, that for him.

[00:08:14] So I said the black but if cat because he's tiny, cute, unassuming deadly.

[00:08:20] Deadly.

[00:08:21] I love that actually.

[00:08:22] That's really cute.

[00:08:23] All right.

[00:08:25] So moving on to Kotzuki.

[00:08:26] Um, at first I said that he was like a Chihuahua from like seasons one through four and then a wolf after that.

[00:08:33] But then I remembered that wolves are essentially giant Chihuahua's.

[00:08:37] Like, you know, he's utterly undignified.

[00:08:41] Yappy loud as all fuck up in everyone's business.

[00:08:44] Two smart for his own good does work well with others once he finally figures out how.

[00:08:49] Um, definitely looks scarier than he actually is but he do bite.

[00:08:53] Do bite.

[00:08:54] And also.

[00:08:55] Yeah.

[00:08:56] In Japanese like folklore there are a couple of stories where wolves act as like kind of like guardian spirit.

[00:09:02] Of mountain passes like especially like very difficult or dangerous ones and sometimes they will help.

[00:09:10] Uh, travelers that have been you know very respectful of their environment.

[00:09:15] Um, if they get lost they'll help them find their way back or they'll lead them home.

[00:09:19] And I thought that was kind of nice because I think of Kotzuki as like easy goose guide and guard dog eventually.

[00:09:26] Very, very nice very good thoughts.

[00:09:29] I said from season one to four he is a fierce and likely very rabid on maranian.

[00:09:36] And then from season five on I didn't really have anything jump to mind except a coma or like a like a cougar or mountain lion that that would be specific sort of cat.

[00:09:47] There's a lots of hissing and lots of teeth.

[00:09:50] Uh, but he can back it up if he asked you because again you do bite.

[00:09:54] Yeah and lots of screaming too like they make a very terrifying sounding scream I could see it.

[00:09:59] Yeah.

[00:10:00] So I said a pomeranian to wall with mix that's a beginning to a bull master.

[00:10:05] They're terrifying they're in large very protective.

[00:10:09] They are very loud.

[00:10:10] They do sleep a lot too. That's really pretty.

[00:10:15] That's really funny.

[00:10:18] Alright, so moving on to show to I chose a calm money route.

[00:10:24] A breed of cat that someone found behind the dumpster.

[00:10:28] Um, formerly absolutely feral but now he takes napkins son puddles both a genius and a dumbass zero clue what's going on needs to be involved in everything.

[00:10:38] And then later you find out that your dumpster cat is actually a rare pure buried worth like thousands and thousands of dollars.

[00:10:45] And I said yes, great. This is perfect as long as he's orange.

[00:10:49] Yep. No notes.

[00:10:50] I don't know if they're orange but they are noted for having really high rates of heterogromia.

[00:10:56] Okay. So we can be half orange halfway and just give the cat the trauma.

[00:11:01] And then for Kirishima, I chose a red-footed tortoise because they have very friendly personalities.

[00:11:13] They're really inquisitive. They're kind of striking looking like baracetic matches his obviously the armor, but then also like the whole slow and steady wins the race thing.

[00:11:23] Like he doesn't appear like he's a contender at first, but he's going to get there.

[00:11:28] Yeah. Yeah. I said armadillo because he panics but he also gets hard about it. So it's hard about it gets hard because I'm a child.

[00:11:40] I love it. Yeah. I just had a regular old furthest chilling napkin sunshine and luncheon on lettuce. He doesn't eat lettuce. Who are we kidding? That boy has never seen a vegetable in his life.

[00:11:52] I want to salad now. God damn it.

[00:11:55] Don't have salad mixed things.

[00:11:58] I'm sorry.

[00:12:00] Kirishima, how dare you?

[00:12:02] Darryl be a tortoise.

[00:12:05] Alright, moving on to Ochocho. I chose a Japanese hair because they're quick, clever, resourceful.

[00:12:11] In folklore they bring good luck and comfort. They're also seen as like trustworthy, they bring messages from the gods that kind of thing.

[00:12:21] Also, so you know how we have the man in the moon?

[00:12:24] Yeah.

[00:12:25] There's a rabbit in the moon and there's this cute little story where rabbits live on the moon and while they're on the moon, they just sit there and make mochi.

[00:12:32] And I was like, it's too good. I have to. Perfect.

[00:12:36] Now we have to send her to intern with Miracle because I said black food and cat which is so funny.

[00:12:45] Oh, for those who don't know the black food and cat is very small and very adorable.

[00:12:51] But it's also the deadliest predator on the African continent because it catches 60% of its intended prey.

[00:13:00] Whereas like even lions catch only like 25% because they kind of suck at it.

[00:13:06] Also, it's they're good at jumping very high because you know it's very gravey.

[00:13:11] Really funny because of Chaco and he's you grew also very similar. Yes, it was kind of funny when I saw that. I was like, oh, thank you.

[00:13:18] Yeah, I think you said she's a rabbit and I said she was a rabbit.

[00:13:22] We're on the same brains.

[00:13:25] We literally flip them.

[00:13:27] Yep.

[00:13:28] Yeah. So I said the pair of green falcon.

[00:13:31] It's small and cute but also fast and deadly.

[00:13:34] Yep. I can see that. I can see that.

[00:13:36] Also, if Luke only has to fly. So you know.

[00:13:40] Alright, so moving on to Sue. I chose the Japanese tree frog because like come on.

[00:13:46] She leans a really hard into that frog aesthetic. I'm going to let her have it.

[00:13:50] Yep. Yep. I agree frog.

[00:13:52] I can care. Yep. Yep. That one was not hard at all.

[00:13:56] Nope.

[00:13:58] Okay. So moving onto Eda.

[00:14:01] I chose an andalusion horse because they're really large like barrel chested but they're super speedy.

[00:14:08] Very intelligent and they're easy to train because they are some nerdy ass rule followers.

[00:14:14] I said road runner because they're speedy but also surprisingly cunning when they're cartoons.

[00:14:23] And they will also put you if they need to.

[00:14:26] I love it. That's great.

[00:14:28] I still say mealt.

[00:14:30] Yes. Okay. Moving on to Jiro.

[00:14:33] I chose a Japanese long-eared bat again.

[00:14:36] Obviously.

[00:14:38] Yeah. I completely forgot that that's exist.

[00:14:42] So even after reading for it's note, that's just did not exist in my brain.

[00:14:47] So I said cicada.

[00:14:49] She like only emerges for short searches of time and she also screams while doing it.

[00:14:56] And she also controls the room when she steps up because like if y'all are in the parts of the US right now.

[00:15:02] A lot of cicadas screaming right now and everyone is only paying attention to the cicadas.

[00:15:08] Yeah.

[00:15:09] I can see that.

[00:15:10] People have called the cops because they won't shut up.

[00:15:13] What are the cops going to do?

[00:15:15] Seriously, what are the cops going to do other than shoot your child?

[00:15:18] Sorry.

[00:15:19] They're going to shoot the child while trying to shoot the freaking bugs on the trees.

[00:15:23] And then if they manage to hit the bug on the tree, it's only their carapace because cops are stupid and needlessly violent.

[00:15:31] Anyway, stupid.

[00:15:32] Anyway, I said that.

[00:15:35] That was it.

[00:15:36] No notes just bad.

[00:15:37] Yeah.

[00:15:38] And I was like, I am Batman.

[00:15:40] Batman.

[00:15:41] Amazing.

[00:15:43] Alright, moving on to dinky.

[00:15:45] I chose electric eel, obviously.

[00:15:47] Specifically, electroforest, volatile because according to Wikipedia, they have the strongest bio-electricity generator in the animal kingdom.

[00:15:56] So I was like, okay, cool.

[00:15:57] Great.

[00:15:58] Done.

[00:15:59] I said Pikachu.

[00:16:01] It's lazy, but it's also accurate.

[00:16:04] So.

[00:16:05] Yes.

[00:16:06] I said Pikachu too.

[00:16:07] Yeah.

[00:16:08] I shouldn't give that to y'all because it's not a real animal, but I love Pikachu so.

[00:16:11] How dare you?

[00:16:13] First of all.

[00:16:14] It is real in our hearts.

[00:16:15] Okay.

[00:16:16] Yeah.

[00:16:17] I understand.

[00:16:18] I've given it to you.

[00:16:19] And also look up the peeka because it's the thing.

[00:16:22] Okay.

[00:16:23] Yeah.

[00:16:24] I can see him being one of those.

[00:16:25] Yeah.

[00:16:26] And he's also electrified.

[00:16:28] Alright.

[00:16:29] So moving on to Oyaama, I was actually torn between two of them.

[00:16:34] I couldn't decide between the Volkokop bird of paradise or the Japanese bush warbler.

[00:16:40] The Volkokop mostly because it has like a really bright blue belly and the most hilarious mating dance I've ever seen.

[00:16:47] That's an include cheese.

[00:16:49] It does not, but it could.

[00:16:51] Metaphorically it includes cheese.

[00:16:54] Okay.

[00:16:56] And then the bush warbler I chose mostly because there's like this story of the emperor who like caged a warbler for its healing song and then abandoned it when it got a mechanical warbler.

[00:17:06] But then the mechanical one broke down and the real warbler managed to escape and then the emperor died.

[00:17:14] And I guess that was said.

[00:17:15] Very apropos of certain arcs in the manga.

[00:17:19] So yes.

[00:17:21] Yes.

[00:17:22] I said angler fish because they have a deadly light even though that's one of the females.

[00:17:29] But the males are quite dreadfully used when you kind of view it through an existential lens.

[00:17:36] They just kind of fuse with the larger body because they have no choice in the matter and it's sad.

[00:17:42] And that's all I got.

[00:17:45] And I just said either peacock or the rat at you or your head.

[00:17:49] And I almost went with peacock to I was really close.

[00:17:53] For obvious reasons.

[00:17:55] Yes.

[00:17:56] Yes.

[00:17:57] All right.

[00:17:58] And for Mina I chose flamingo.

[00:18:01] Pink, highly social attracts a lot of attention.

[00:18:05] Thrive sink conditions that would kill anyone else.

[00:18:08] Flamingos are terrifying.

[00:18:10] So yeah.

[00:18:11] I said the love child of blue-footed boobies for the dancing and also the bombardier beetle which if you don't know.

[00:18:18] She'd asked it out of its ass.

[00:18:21] Oh my god.

[00:18:22] I took her first son a far too literally and I don't care.

[00:18:26] No, but those are great.

[00:18:27] That's hysterical.

[00:18:28] Okay.

[00:18:29] I'm going to try and say the oxlottle.

[00:18:31] So it's flashy kind of alien looking and pink.

[00:18:35] But also a vicious killer.

[00:18:37] Yes.

[00:18:38] Yes.

[00:18:39] Perfect.

[00:18:40] Okay.

[00:18:41] Moving on to Ogero.

[00:18:42] I chose the Japanese macaque.

[00:18:44] Very intelligent and wise.

[00:18:47] In folklore it's the mediators, it's protective and real life they're highly social.

[00:18:52] And grooming is a social activity which is probably why he doesn't mind denky messing with his tail all the time.

[00:18:58] It's like a daunting activity for them at Orville at Orville.

[00:19:02] I said kangaroo because they have a strong tail.

[00:19:06] They're small and they also thrive in a pack.

[00:19:09] Yeah.

[00:19:10] I agree with a kangaroo.

[00:19:11] It would be kind of funny if he went with a non monkey persona.

[00:19:15] Like a real hilarious.

[00:19:17] Yeah.

[00:19:18] I can see it.

[00:19:19] I can see it.

[00:19:20] And then for Kota, I chose a capibara.

[00:19:24] Mostly because they're kind of shy but they get along really well with like a lot of other animal species.

[00:19:29] Because they're just like super chill, super nice.

[00:19:32] But they can wreak absolute havoc when they need to.

[00:19:35] Don't let them get near your garbage.

[00:19:37] Yep.

[00:19:38] Yeah.

[00:19:40] I can't really beat that.

[00:19:42] I want to like add a plover bird to the capibara because like they help all the other animals and also bugs because

[00:19:51] Shoot shooting bugs at people are kind of this thing.

[00:19:55] You know it's really funny.

[00:19:57] I almost went with plover bird.

[00:19:59] Yay.

[00:20:00] I sent a sussa capibara.

[00:20:02] I was like he up and then the capibara song played in my head for like a solid.

[00:20:07] I'm in it.

[00:20:08] Yeah.

[00:20:09] I feel like he would love that song.

[00:20:12] Yeah.

[00:20:13] Okay.

[00:20:14] Moving on to sato, I chose gorilla.

[00:20:16] I'm...whoops.

[00:20:17] Sorry.

[00:20:18] No.

[00:20:19] No.

[00:20:20] Google.

[00:20:21] Okay.

[00:20:22] Google don't be rude.

[00:20:23] Google assistant was trying to be helpful.

[00:20:25] It's never helpful.

[00:20:27] Never.

[00:20:28] Yeah.

[00:20:29] But for sato, I chose gorilla because they're really strong.

[00:20:33] They're very social and protective.

[00:20:35] But far less aggressive than the reputation implies.

[00:20:38] But if you fuck around, you will find out you will indeed.

[00:20:41] I said, Pippel.

[00:20:43] Okay.

[00:20:44] Pippels.

[00:20:45] The strongest heck.

[00:20:46] They're very food motivated.

[00:20:48] They're just friendly boys.

[00:20:50] Oh that's a much better choice.

[00:20:52] I love that.

[00:20:53] I said an American staffy.

[00:20:56] So I was kind of on the same wavelength was Nicole.

[00:21:00] It's slightly aggressive.

[00:21:02] But the biggest and friendly estogs.

[00:21:04] But very protective.

[00:21:05] Yeah.

[00:21:06] No.

[00:21:07] Yeah.

[00:21:08] Pippel fits so well.

[00:21:09] I don't know why I didn't think of that.

[00:21:11] How dare you?

[00:21:12] I know.

[00:21:13] I know.

[00:21:14] It's wrong with me.

[00:21:15] All right.

[00:21:16] For so, so g.

[00:21:17] Good God.

[00:21:18] Still can't talk.

[00:21:19] Awesome.

[00:21:20] We're fine.

[00:21:22] I know.

[00:21:23] I chose the mimic octopus because they're like super intelligent.

[00:21:27] Their arms are like way longer than other octopus species.

[00:21:31] And they can change their shape or texture in addition to their color.

[00:21:35] And they're just super adaptable in the face of hostility.

[00:21:39] Like something attacks them.

[00:21:40] They figured out a way to get around it.

[00:21:43] Yep.

[00:21:44] I said cuddle fish because arms and smarts.

[00:21:47] And that is all the thought I put into.

[00:21:49] I could see that too though.

[00:21:51] Yeah.

[00:21:52] I just had giant Pacific octopus.

[00:21:54] Yep.

[00:21:55] I almost worked with that one.

[00:21:57] Yeah.

[00:21:58] Okay.

[00:21:59] Yeah.

[00:22:00] I had a little my internet went a little crazy for a second there.

[00:22:03] No.

[00:22:04] But yeah.

[00:22:05] giant Pacific octopus.

[00:22:06] Yeah.

[00:22:07] Very large.

[00:22:08] Very large.

[00:22:09] Very large.

[00:22:10] Mm-hmm.

[00:22:11] And it's near Japan.

[00:22:12] So exactly.

[00:22:14] Yeah.

[00:22:15] Yeah.

[00:22:16] I really, I almost went with that one.

[00:22:18] Okay.

[00:22:19] For Sarah, I chose the Joros Spider.

[00:22:22] Especially because it has like really cool coloration that like almost perfectly matches

[00:22:26] this hero costume.

[00:22:27] But also they build these like super massive, multi layered complex webs.

[00:22:33] And they're not aggressive to humans.

[00:22:36] So they're actually like kind of popular in Japan.

[00:22:39] People like them amazing.

[00:22:41] I said I really active spider.

[00:22:44] And if you don't understand the reference, you can leave.

[00:22:48] Yeah.

[00:22:50] So it's like, I'm not going to look it up.

[00:22:52] But whatever, dinosaur spider they have in Australia.

[00:22:55] Oh, the Huntsman spiders.

[00:22:56] Yeah.

[00:22:57] Yes.

[00:22:58] Yeah.

[00:22:59] I love how we're all like spider obviously.

[00:23:01] Obviously.

[00:23:02] Literally.

[00:23:03] Obviously.

[00:23:04] Then moving on to Tokyo Yami.

[00:23:06] I chose the common Raven or the Northern Raven.

[00:23:09] Same species, different name.

[00:23:11] And you know, Tokyo Yami is a big fan of Norse mythology.

[00:23:15] So I kind of wanted to steer in that direction.

[00:23:18] And also bird.

[00:23:19] He is yes, that too.

[00:23:21] But Ravens are very observant and intelligent.

[00:23:25] And folklore, they're very protective and helpful.

[00:23:28] Sometimes prophetic and a lot of powerful warrior kings have used them in their emblems.

[00:23:34] And I was like, well, it's perfect.

[00:23:36] Yep.

[00:23:37] Yep.

[00:23:38] Yeah.

[00:23:39] Deaf a corvette of some kind.

[00:23:41] Yep.

[00:23:42] I agree.

[00:23:43] Yeah.

[00:23:44] That was super easy.

[00:23:45] Moving on to Hagaka who actually was like really.

[00:23:46] Really difficult for me.

[00:23:48] Yeah.

[00:23:49] I'm not choose.

[00:23:50] But eventually, I settled on glass wing butterfly partially because of the transparent wings.

[00:23:57] Because also in Japan, butterflies are, you know, as we all know, they're associated with the cycle of life and death and eternity

[00:24:05] because they, you know, might be souls of the dead.

[00:24:09] But apparently, they are also symbols of like young women and transformation and like coming into your own is like, you know, that transition period from girl to woman.

[00:24:20] And how that can be like a very fun and happy time hopefully.

[00:24:25] They also, um, they symbolize like love freedom.

[00:24:31] So I don't know.

[00:24:32] I just think she would like them.

[00:24:34] I think she would like butterflies.

[00:24:35] Yeah.

[00:24:36] I agree.

[00:24:37] I also got stumped and the only thing my brain provided me was the bioluminescent algae that was at night like in the ocean waves.

[00:24:45] Yeah, I tried to look up bioluminescent creatures too, but it couldn't really settle on anything.

[00:24:50] Yeah.

[00:24:51] So I actually had one for this.

[00:24:53] Yeah.

[00:24:54] The glass catfish.

[00:24:55] Look it up.

[00:24:56] It's really pretty.

[00:24:57] So it's translucent.

[00:24:58] You can see its bones and stuff.

[00:25:00] And in certain light, it can shimmer like a rainbow.

[00:25:03] There's a lot of like transparent or translucent animals that are like so, so pretty and I was like, can I choose all of them?

[00:25:10] Yes.

[00:25:11] I did a little rainbow.

[00:25:13] Right.

[00:25:14] Right.

[00:25:15] So small and you in adorable.

[00:25:17] And I was like, yes, this is her.

[00:25:20] And they're in Thailand.

[00:25:22] I think nice.

[00:25:23] All right.

[00:25:24] Moving on to Momo who was also really difficult for me.

[00:25:27] I had a hard time thinking of something.

[00:25:29] I knew what she was right away.

[00:25:32] Eventually I chose Koi because since they swim upstream and they jump waterfalls, they're considered symbols of like perseverance in the face of adversity, which was like, you know, a pretty key part of her character arc.

[00:25:45] And I feel like she would value that about herself.

[00:25:47] So that's what I went with.

[00:25:49] Yeah.

[00:25:50] I said the peacock mantis shrimp.

[00:25:52] So good.

[00:25:55] Yeah, because that the the coloration like always slaves with the outfits that she picks out and also they love cannons.

[00:26:02] Yeah, like literally she loves cannons.

[00:26:05] She does.

[00:26:06] And so I chose the beta fish specifically.

[00:26:12] So female beta fishes are calm and it can hang out with other.

[00:26:16] Confish or female betas but can be aggressive if proof of.

[00:26:20] Mel beta fishes are the double so.

[00:26:24] They're well changing yeah.

[00:26:26] I love them were all like aquatic animal.

[00:26:29] Yeah.

[00:26:30] The get-o go Joe's are yelling at us now.

[00:26:33] Mm-hmm.

[00:26:34] All right.

[00:26:35] Moving on to Shinzo.

[00:26:36] No, he's not in class one.

[00:26:37] I know I don't care.

[00:26:38] We haven't on their every member exactly exactly he had to be included.

[00:26:44] So I chose the Russian blue cat because they have a tendency to be very intelligent.

[00:26:49] Self-sufficient like they're calm and quiet but they're also highly active.

[00:26:54] And when you first meet them, they're pretty aloof with strangers.

[00:26:58] But they can be affectionate once you win their approval.

[00:27:01] Mm-hmm.

[00:27:02] I said figure out the daily cat.

[00:27:05] Well, you're not wrong.

[00:27:08] Yeah.

[00:27:09] A-angie and also very cute.

[00:27:11] So I said the gray house cat because he pretends he doesn't know you.

[00:27:17] And then doesn't love you but he loves you when you aren't looking.

[00:27:21] Mm-hmm.

[00:27:22] Correct.

[00:27:23] Exactly.

[00:27:24] That's very much fork.

[00:27:25] Yeah.

[00:27:26] Not.

[00:27:29] All right, so moving on to some of the teachers.

[00:27:32] Uh, it's for Isawa.

[00:27:34] I know a lot of people think he's a cat and I know he loves cats but I don't think he is one.

[00:27:41] Um, so I picked great pierinees because they're independent and loyal.

[00:27:46] And they're great at both hurting and guarding, which is like 98% of what takes up his day.

[00:27:52] And they sleep a lot.

[00:27:54] Yes.

[00:27:55] Yes.

[00:27:56] I said aloof and not the ridiculous scientific non-fact that was disproved many years ago.

[00:28:03] The actual aloof that loves the children and plays with them and takes care of the pack and also attacks if he needs to.

[00:28:11] Yep.

[00:28:12] I agreed with the wolf.

[00:28:13] Yep.

[00:28:14] I couldn't disagree more.

[00:28:15] I think wolves are far too silly.

[00:28:18] That's fair.

[00:28:19] Maybe like the um, like the folklore, like the psychology.

[00:28:25] Yeah.

[00:28:26] I could see that a folklore wolf.

[00:28:28] Yes.

[00:28:29] He would he would also enjoy that.

[00:28:31] Mm-hmm.

[00:28:32] For sure.

[00:28:33] All right.

[00:28:34] Then for present Mike, I fully agreed with Horakoshi.

[00:28:37] I went with the African gray parrot.

[00:28:39] Like highly intelligent.

[00:28:41] They never fucking shut up.

[00:28:43] They need all the attention, all the time.

[00:28:46] But only from a few individuals like they tend to form very strong bonds with one or two people.

[00:28:53] Nice.

[00:28:54] Yeah.

[00:28:55] I don't disagree with that.

[00:28:56] The only thing I could think of were cockatoo's with the yellow feathers and also howl or monkeys.

[00:29:02] Because not wrong.

[00:29:04] Yeah.

[00:29:05] So as someone who lived with an African gray parrot around.

[00:29:10] Yes.

[00:29:11] I concur.

[00:29:12] Mm-hmm.

[00:29:13] Tott, her had to say hi.

[00:29:15] Because I would say hi every time I walked in.

[00:29:17] Oh, she was very cute.

[00:29:19] I will say.

[00:29:20] She was very attached to me.

[00:29:22] Good God.

[00:29:23] Yeah.

[00:29:24] They're very sweet.

[00:29:25] But holy God, they really, they truly don't shut up and they're far too smart for captivity.

[00:29:29] Yeah.

[00:29:30] All right.

[00:29:33] Moving on to all my, which was kind of another difficult one for me.

[00:29:37] I ended up going with white tiger, which is like one of the four Chinese guardian spirits.

[00:29:44] Because it's associated with the West and autumn because I was kind of thinking like his time and the limelight is passing.

[00:29:52] But it's also very protective.

[00:29:54] Stands alone.

[00:29:56] The tiger is kind of like the opposite of the wolf, like symbolically speaking.

[00:30:02] And this guardian is also associated with Yin energy.

[00:30:07] And I feel like all my really does embody a lot of traits that we consider feminine, like comfort,

[00:30:14] affability, approachability.

[00:30:17] Like if endeavor is young, then all my does Yin.

[00:30:21] Mm-hmm.

[00:30:22] Yep.

[00:30:23] I like this.

[00:30:24] And then my brain just was dead at this point.

[00:30:27] So I just said owl.

[00:30:29] But specifically the owl that could puff up and also slim back down, like it almost looks like they shape shift with their feathers.

[00:30:36] Yeah.

[00:30:37] He goes up and down and also they have the pellets which work are kind of like the blood he coughs up.

[00:30:43] And that's amazing.

[00:30:44] That's all I had.

[00:30:45] I said, but bald eagle obviously.

[00:30:48] Obviously.

[00:30:49] Obviously.

[00:30:50] Well, now that I think of it, I can't believe I didn't think of that.

[00:30:52] That's the obvious answer.

[00:30:54] What the fuck was wrong with me?

[00:30:55] Yeah.

[00:30:56] I mean, we're a little bit scared.

[00:30:57] The spirits like come on burn, bald eagle right there.

[00:31:00] Yep.

[00:31:01] Yep.

[00:31:02] Yeah.

[00:31:03] I'm surprised nobody said this but you know it was very obvious for me.

[00:31:07] I have immediately knew what it was.

[00:31:09] Yes.

[00:31:10] Yeah.

[00:31:11] And you are correct.

[00:31:12] Yes.

[00:31:13] Mm-hmm.

[00:31:14] Yeah.

[00:31:15] I got too deep in the research.

[00:31:17] I thought too hard.

[00:31:18] It's because I wasn't using my brain power.

[00:31:21] So my brain was just like, yes.

[00:31:25] All right.

[00:31:26] And finally, Medeta.

[00:31:28] Uh, no, we didn't forget him.

[00:31:30] We put him last on purpose.

[00:31:31] Yeah.

[00:31:32] I chose cockroach because he's gross annoying and won't fucking die.

[00:31:36] Yep.

[00:31:37] I said mosquito because everyone hates him.

[00:31:40] He sucks the life out of everything.

[00:31:42] And he won't fucking die.

[00:31:43] I said slug.

[00:31:44] No, no.

[00:31:45] Yeah.

[00:31:46] Because he's gross and won't fucking die.

[00:31:48] Yep.

[00:31:49] We're all in the same way.

[00:31:52] Yeah.

[00:31:53] We're all in the same page.

[00:31:55] Yep.

[00:31:56] All right.

[00:31:57] Final thoughts, anyone?

[00:31:58] I would apologize for how literally I took their first owners and regards to their quirks and personalities.

[00:32:07] But I'm not going to because what else did you all expect for me to misunderstand the assignment via autistic logic?

[00:32:16] Um, so my final note was like that was the last my brain power for all of this.

[00:32:21] So you're welcome.

[00:32:23] Um, brain power well spent, honestly.

[00:32:26] Well, that was really fun.

[00:32:27] Yes.

[00:32:28] I had a great time doing that.

[00:32:30] That was much more interesting than whatever the hell I had planned.

[00:32:33] Yeah.

[00:32:34] Your years had a lot of research and I'm glad we said no.

[00:32:39] Yeah.

[00:32:40] Me too.

[00:32:41] I would not.

[00:32:42] I wouldn't have been able to do it.

[00:32:43] I just be here today.

[00:32:44] Like me.

[00:32:46] Yeah.

[00:32:47] There's a lot of interesting information out there.

[00:32:49] So I encourage people to, you know, do their own research if they want because it's very fascinating.

[00:32:55] But I know I couldn't.

[00:32:57] I was too tired.

[00:32:58] Yes.

[00:32:59] So y'all let us know what for so knows that each character is and also what your first owner is.

[00:33:06] You have one whether it's just kind of casual and joking like ours were or if it is your actual first owner because we support you.

[00:33:14] Then just tell us.

[00:33:16] I love your dreams.

[00:33:17] Bebe's love your dreams.

[00:33:19] Yes.

[00:33:20] Go if, if you choose to if that's the only thing I know about for us.

[00:33:25] Okay.
